1156 craze

Pros: 5 eggs for Newegg for rushing my order 5 eggs for Fedex fast shipping and handling 5 eggs MSI for producing a good quality p55 micro mobo
Cons: not a con, here are my specs: windows7 pro 64bit i5 core sapphire 5770 (5870 is just an over kill) 8G of ddr3 2000 ripjaw ram (2G/slot) 1T WD HDD MSI P55 GD45 1156 micro LG bluray lightscribe Antec 900 II 750W corsair cooler master cpu heatsink fan 1156
Overall Review: never thought a micro is all that i would ever need. ..onboard audio is pretty good, didnt have to install Xfi soundcard best of all, it booted right away on first attempt. didnt have any problems what-so-ever. did see any reason for OC'ing my chip. all games that i play run flawlessly on high settings (crysis, fallout and farmville) hahahahaha. cpu runs only on 45% capacity when playing games and manipulating layers on photoshop. i didnt care much about benchmark points, those are just for showing and bragging.
violated

Pros: would have been great if this lasted long enough.
Cons: after 3 months of use my system started crashing, i thought it was the RAM or a software issue until checkdisk started appearing and then blue screen... i did a low level format to correct errors but after that it says 34GB and not 640....
Overall Review: switched back to an old seagate sata and havent have a problem.

Pros: Other than the problems I listed under cons, everything works perfect. Bios is superb, OC option is easy and most importantly the layout. The mobo is also thick so there not so much bending when changing GPU cards. It sits perfectly in my old Antec 900N case.
Cons: So ok, not really a con but run into minor problems. I had to split open my power supply connector pin because this mobo requires 8 pin 12V and my old PS only h as a 4 Pin and a 6 Pin so I had to improvise. My old IDE DVD runs slower (i think, or maybe im just used to SATA DVD).
Overall Review: AM3 sockets are awesome. They are kinda future proof as the newer chips also belong to AM3 family. I'd recommend to install all drivers even when running windows7. Finally I just hope this mobo will have a long life.

Pros: Bought this chip for my wife, it performed as expected. She was able to do her photoshop cs4 project and some flip mino editing. The price speaks for it self, it was within our budget range.
Cons: None so far... the heaviest task that this chip would do is photo and video rendering, so far it hasnt bottle neck but came close.
Overall Review: I havent put this chip to extreme test. No overclock and no intense gaming such as BF BC2, Dragon AGe or MW2 but Im pretty sure it would handle those games on medium setting. Matched this CPU with: Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT AM3 GSkills 4G DDR3 1600 Sapphire 4850
Otistik

Pros: Bought this memory for my new build, i5 on msi P55M. Everything fits right in and work perfectly on first boot. Didnt have any problems on posting, its timing is recognized by the msi mobo; so didnt have to OC it.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Got 4 of these installed...windows7 has high demands on memory resource. it says 1.5Gig used on idle, however, when playing games it only uses 4Gig total (crysis). paired it with: i5 intel cpu msi p55m sapphire 5770
1156 crazed

Pros: it worked on first attempt. money well spent.
Cons: who needs hyper threading? its fast enough for the applications i use.
Overall Review: didnt find any reason for OC'ing. 45% capacity on crysis on high settings, 57% when rendering videos on sony vegas and photoshop cs4. anything more than this is over kill
