Just Awesome
Pros: Easy to set up after you figure out how. Downloaded the RAID manager and configured RAID 0 and the drive didn't show via esata. After I found out on Win7 I needed to right click computer and click "manage" and select disk management and then format the drive it works great (Phew i didn't fry my drives). REALLY fast transferring between my SSD's and this thing, I will buy another one.
Cons: none.
Overall Review: I do notice some times a transfer is slow but I've found just canceling it and starting it again makes it faster. The sata cables although nicely tied and organized were totally blocking the fan exhaust. It was a pain but I CAREFULLY cut the zip ties and moved the cable away.
This thing rocks
Pros: I didn't even have to install drivers, Win 7 just picked it up. Port multiplier is a nice feature if you are running JBOD enclosure. The two esata ports is helpful when friends come over for media swaps. I don't have any sata 6gig drives to test the real max speed of this thing but when transferring to my SSD's a base speed is at least 80megs/sec.
Cons: Do they put PCI express in laptops anymore?
Solid
Pros: Great price, no hiccups, fast. Installed 8gigs from a lowly 4gigs. Windows user rating jumped from 5.9 to 6.7 on Acer Aspire 8934g.
Cons: none.
Just works
Pros: Popped it into my aging Sony Vaio, breathing a little life back into it.
Cons: none.
Fast
Pros: Good connection lights to show you are connected and transferring data. No install, Win7 32bit just found it and did everything. WAY faster the the old built in port on this aging laptop. Network traffic increased from 10-11mb/sec to 30mb/sec and higher if I'm transferring to my SSD's. I've seen it do sustained 71mb/sec!
Cons: None.
