STRONG piece of work

EVGA GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 015-P3-1580-AR
EVGA GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 015-P3-1580-AR

Pros: I bought this card in 2010... It hasnt caused me a single bit of trouble since then and it still runs through new games with high graphics settings. I used to be on the fence with whether or not buying a high end graphics card was worth the money. I think this card was close to 600 when I bought it, and tech wise it was brand new. Anyway the performance that this piece has put up over the last FOUR years has validated the cost of the card 100 fold. I doubt anyone will read this because the card is so old now, but if you do - this is a nice card!

Cons: Some people say it runs hot - not sure, I have a full tower with 6 case fans - I've never had an issue with the heat this card produces.

Not very nice..

Creative FATAL1TY 3.5mm gold-plated Connector Circumaural Gaming Headset
Creative FATAL1TY 3.5mm gold-plated Connector Circumaural Gaming Headset

Pros: Cheap

Cons: They're cheap. Cheap sound quality, cheap makeup.. BUT OHH ... you get a leather bag with them.. that's cheap too. I see these breaking in about 6 months and me having to pull my Icemat's out to use. IF you're a gamer and you use high quality headphones.. DO NOT BUY THESE. They aren't what your looking for. I'd stick with some hd555's or icemats.. These are cheaply made and put out marginal sound.

G.SKILL 1GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL4S-1GBPK

Pros: Works great, posted firt run, no problems over the past 3 months. Not much more to say:) haven't OC'd with them yet, but i'm sure it'l be fine when I do. Ohh they're cheap too so that's a plus.

Cons: none so far.

Good to Go

EVGA 122-CK-NF68-T1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA 122-CK-NF68-T1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Got the board, paired it with a wolfdale 3ghz, 3gig of g-skill. posted first startup, no issues whatsoever. Didnt have to flash the bios- looks like it came updated for the wolfdale already. I really like the way they setup the Sata1 and Sata2 on the board. Works very well if you have a big vidcard. I have an 8800ultra and the way the cords are setup there's 0 conflict between them and the back of the vidcard. 2 NIC hookups.. yeah I like it. Like I said above, no issues whatsoever.

Cons: It's semi-spendy for 680i not being the most advanced on the market

Overall Review: UPS dropped the ball. package went "out for delivery" at 6am on delivery day. I waited around at the house for 13 hours 7pm before i got the package. I was slightly miffed. I'll probably use Fedex in the future.

Comments: Wow, Dual core is insane. It's like crack for computer users. I guarantee you this, once you go dual, you'll never go back. IT regularly shocks me while swapping in and out of programs it's so fast. My machine is a monster. Buy this NOW, you won't be disappointed.
