well built and easy to assemble
Pros: hard drive rails require no screws and are well seated to prevent movement. cd rails work the same but require the front panel to come off. the whole thing is pretty sturdy and nothing feels cheap.
Cons: no removable motherboard tray - would make assembly easier
OK board
Pros: 1. This board is cheap, and simple. 2. DDR3 is a plus, it runs at 1066 - but apparently a BIOS update is capable of correcting this. (have not tried) 3. P/ATA port for backward compatibility
Cons: 1. First and foremost, this board has NO lights or fault indicators to alert you as to what is going on, should the system not post. This was mentioned in one review, but buried. This is definitely something to consider!! 2. First one I received was DOA, had to RMA
Overall Review: 4. Anything Newegg sells is worth buying, because even if it isnt worth buying - Newegg still makes it easy to get rid of or fix it
Great low cost board
Pros: Pretty solid (except doa) Cheap HDMI, DVI, VGA
Cons: First board was DOA. Have used several since and all of them have been fine.
Overall Review: Usually only use Gigabyte or Asus, will start using ASRock boards too
Good case
Pros: 1. Very sleek case 2. CD drives are hidden by a flip-down cover, keeping the look clean. 3. CD / Floppy mount which makes it easy to install the drives (screw in pins, and slide into case) 4. Power supply works!
Cons: 1. The case was packaged poorly - the bag of screws was not sealed. Consequently some of the screws made their way into the power supply and needed to be removed. This was a painful, tedious process.
Overall Review: This is a very nice case overall, would definitely buy again.
Thoughts
Pros: This device seems to work - it charges the controllers (I have not noticed the battery memory issue the previous reviewer had commented on) and does not require you to plug your controllers into anything when it comes time to charge...
Cons: This device does make a clicking sound, as noted here and on other websites. From what I can gather, this is normal. The adapters which fit onto the charging port of the PS3 controller does get warm - but mine has not melted (even with me leaving the controller on 24/7)
Overall Review: I will most definitely report back if anything burns down... Aside from that, this isn't a bad product.
Worked Great
Pros: Cooled my old P4 3.0 with a stock cooler from 65c idle / 80+ load to around 42c idle / 55c load. Also much quieter than the stock Intel cooler. I noticed that the old cooler had a blanket of dust on top of the heat sink, so I am going to give the stock cooler a bit of credit, but this thing still performs better and quieter.
Cons: Requires tons of force to attach to the motherboard - I actually like the clips contrary to what others have said.
