Great Investment

Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000GLFS 300GB 10000 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000GLFS 300GB 10000 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Incredibly fast and quiet HDD. Was running on a 150GB Raptor X, and the performance improvement is noticeable. Drive is running idle at about 30C and full load at about 36C. If you have the money, this one is worth the investment.

Cons: Not really a con but SATA Plug (Data and Power) placement is unique on this drive. You can not drop this HDD into an enclosure or dock as you would other SATA drives. Also noticed the mounting holes have the drive sitting further back compared to my other drives.

Overall Review: NOT A RETAIL VERSION! This is an OEM drive! If you need the included cables/software/instructions, be prepared! Cloned my old HDD with Vista 64 in less than 4 minutes. PC was up and running not 30 seconds after. Was considering holding off for a bit to see what new SSD's were coming, but decided to just go for it. With the way technology is going, I'd be sitting around waiting for the next great thing until the day I die.

Inexpensive and Cheap!

TekNmotion TM-DVD15R Standard DVD Case 15 pack
TekNmotion TM-DVD15R Standard DVD Case 15 pack

Pros: Inexpensive.

Cons: CHEAP! Even if you're looking for an inexpensive solution for your DVD storage, think twice before buying these. I take very good care of my DVD's and do not toss cases around. These cases may LOOK like the cases used by major studios (when wrapped in plastic wrap with the label covering them so you can't see them), but these are far from the same quality and design. Made of brittle plastic! Purchased 2 packs of fifteen. Dropped one on a wood floor and 4 cases cracked. Of the "good ones", I had three cases locking mechanisms break. two other cases, the DVD locking mechanism broke. If you are looking for cases to archive your valuable DVD's, pay a little extra for a better case.

Overall Review: If your looking for a case to house a DVD that you will be giving to some one you don't care about, then you might consider this one. I do not recommend these!

Nice Little Card

ADATA 4GB Class 6 Micro SDHC Flash Card with SD adaptor Model AUSDH4GCL6-RA1
ADATA 4GB Class 6 Micro SDHC Flash Card with SD adaptor Model AUSDH4GCL6-RA1

Pros: Fast reliable card. Inserted the card and was ready to go! Great card for the money, highly recommend.

Cons: None yet.

Overall Review: Using on an LG VX8500 Choc. Uploaded complete movies to this card and runs without a hitch. Also have 1.6GB of music. LG's multimedia software is another issue though.

Great Card for the Price

ADATA Speedy 4GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model SPEEDY CF 4GB
ADATA Speedy 4GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model SPEEDY CF 4GB

Pros: Solid reliable card. Has more than enough space for photos and video on my old Canon G3. I'm not concerned about speed, but it seems just as fast as my old 1GB Simpletech CF card.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Great CF Card for the price.

Decent DVD's for the price

RiDATA 4.7GB 16X DVD+R 100 Packs Spindle Disc Model DRD+4716-RDCB100
RiDATA 4.7GB 16X DVD+R 100 Packs Spindle Disc Model DRD+4716-RDCB100

Pros: Good DVD's for the price. Haven't had one coaster yet (burned about 50/100 so far). Scans show decent performance, actual performance (movies) have been very good.

Cons: None yet.

Overall Review: I typically stick to Tayo Yuden or Verbatim, but I thought I would give these a try. I was expecting at least one or two coasters, but have been pleasantly surprised with 100% good burns so far. If you're looking for an inexpensive DVD for non-archival burns, or give-aways, this is a decent option.

Does the Job

Thermaltake BlacX ST0005U External Hard Drive SATA Enclosure Docking Station 2.5" & 3.5" USB 2.0 & eSATA
Thermaltake BlacX ST0005U External Hard Drive SATA Enclosure Docking Station 2.5" & 3.5" USB 2.0 & eSATA

Pros: Easy install, XP and Vista 64 quickly recognized eSata connection. Transfer speeds are excellent. Plastic with metal base, has decent weight, feels solid. Temperatures seem reasonable (depending on drive, idles at around 30c, 37c under load). Does what it's supposed to do, and does it well.

Cons: I don't really care for the location of the power button. Located on the right rear of the unit. Would prefer power button on the front, but that's just a personal preference.

Overall Review: Great product for the money. Have noticed that other brands are coming out with the exact same thing at lower prices. Worth shopping around if your interested in this dock.
