Awesome deal

Pros: Very fast for the price. I7 awesome. Great RAM expansion. 16 gigs. Decent size hard drive. 500 gigs. It was tempting to look at the ssd competitors, but not worth the price difference. Came with windows 7, and a windows 8 restore disc.
Cons: I hate manufacturer versions of OS's. I don't like the bloat. I am buying it with company money and it's a company asset for a while. When it is mine, I will put a reasonable OS on it without all the trash. It really does great for a Lenovo spin on windows 7.
Overall Review: I added an 8 gig stick of RAM to give me 12 to play. It's great for all my work paperwork and some light to moderate VS2010 programming. I travel with it and sometimes covet having a smaller lighter version while on those long plane rides. The big screen (relative) make up for that lost productivity once you hit the ground. The function is great once you get to a desk or table, but useless on an airplane. I like to take naps while I fly anyway. I dock it at home and have it sitting next to my 3+ year old toshiba that I used for school work. This thing crushes the toshiba hands down even though the toshiba has 16 gigs of ram (also ddr3), and a WD black hard drive. My desktop smokes both of them off the line with it's 16 gigs of ddr3 and 250 gig ssd running windows 8 (blah). For the price this thing is great. If you are going to whine about it being too big to travel, I can understand that.
Great deal.

Pros: Low price. I bought mine at ~$90. Great performance with no problems in an old atx mini tower. I had an old amd k62 system that I gutted. This motherboard, 4gb of ram, and a 1TB WD Black sata 6.0 hard drive make for a nice little system. It is kind of a spare and I haven't done more than install xp, office, and some stenography software for the woman so she can use it as a work backup. She's very happen with it. This is the best spare I have setup in years. Very happy with it. Not sure what I am going to do with all these IDE hard drives when I setup the next one.
Cons: no usb 3.0. That seams to be a trade off with the number of SATA ports in this factor/price range. I chose the greater SATA options over the latest USB. Not upgradable. Another trade off for the trouble of putting on a processor. Worth the tradeoff to me. I hate messing with processors anyway.
Overall Review: Thinking of buying another one. I have an older Ubuntu file server with a single core k62 proc. It is pretty much a file server and test machine/web server just like the last one. I would like to swap out for this as a twin to the last one. No install problems at all. I tried a live usb with fedora while I was waiting on my new HD. It booted and did as linux should.
No issues
They delivered as advertised. I would have no problem purchasing from them again. I have had better packaging with other refurbished items, but it was clean and functional when it got to me. I generally can't stand DHL because I've had issues with packaging showing up really beaten to hell. I was pleasantly surprised this one was not. Corn also double boxed it. I certainly appreciate that.
