Perfect
Pros: Perfect replacement for the drive that died in my 27" iMac. Quiet!
Cons: None, works as designed and as expected.
Flakey with Ubuntu
Pros: Very tiny!
Cons: I cannot boot my Unbuntu machine with the dongle plugged in. I have to plug it in after the machine has booted up and then restart the bluetooth service. Can't seem to find a way around this deficiency, but obviously it's an OS issue and not a hardware issue. If you are an Ubuntu user, I would recommend some other dongles that are 100% compatible out of the box.
It Screams
Pros: Very fast throughput.
Cons: Larger than most 16GB USB drives.
Overall Review: Ii've had the 8GB for a couple years, and got this 16GB to have a Mac Lion + iLife + Office 2011 install disc. I wiped a mac and had it back up and running in under 30 minutes.
Perfect
Pros: Works as designed and as expected. Very pleased!
Cons: None!!
Good Little Box
Pros: Good size and good amenities (HDMI, optical audio, commodity ram/hdd easily accessible).
Cons: The blue light on the side is annoying. You can turn it off in the bios, but the setting is buried and a bit obscure.
Overall Review: It is supposed to come with 512MB DDR memory, but my memory banks were empty and there was no separate dimm included with my shipment. In any event, I had already ordered a couple of 2GB dimms and used a 120GB SSD. The thing screams with Ubuntu 11 and is very usable. Very pleased!
