Good Deal. Wrong Specs

Diablotek PHD Series - 2nd Generation PHD650 650 W ATX12V v2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply
Diablotek PHD Series - 2nd Generation PHD650 650 W ATX12V v2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: low price, good amps, lots of connectors, looks great, sleeved cables, quiet.

Cons: The only problem i found with this powersupply was that the specs were wrong. (see other thoughts)

Overall Review: I bought this after looking around for a powersupply that had a min of 36amps on the 12+ rail. According to the manufacturer's website and all other places I looked, this power supply puts out 38amps on the 12+ rail. Well once i got my shipment i looked at the specs in box and it said 35 amps on the 12+ rail instead of the 38. I had to return it. BUT all other specs are right, and if you need low price and no more than 35amps on the 12+ volt rail, then this is the psu for you.

eh... okay

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black SECC / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black SECC / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Black interior, even some expensive and good cases lack this appealing feature. Price is pretty low and you have good amount of upgradeable space for the most part. Very light. Over all nice looking case.

Cons: Case is flimsy... It lacks installation space for bigger cpu coolers and extended motherboards. ATX motherboards fit just right making it sometimes difficult to install certain cables. This case lacks appropriate cable management. only 1 too-less bracket per bay type and are kind of flimsy I ended up still installing screws. ONLY includes ONE fan and although it has options for other fans they are quite useless. At top you could only be able to install a 120mm fan closest to front of case if you play it right and the the one closest to back cannot be used because of cpu cooler, Heck they didnt even add proper screw holes for it. The front optional fan is very weirdly positioned it doesnt really match all the holes for airflow, but i think you can add a 120mm or a 90mm fan on the front. They should have gone with a better way to remove front face cover and that transitioned better with metal casing.

Overall Review: Its okay for the price if you arent gonna add the optional fans or you already have some extra fans. If you are gonna buy fans then go with another case which has included fans and filters and of course MORE installation SPACE. Since it be around ~30 more just for the 3 optional fans.

Pros: I bought one of these because they were designed to be quiet and the drive i had at the time was way too noisy. These drives are so quiet! I loved it so much that i bought a second one just in case i ever build another computer. I am still tempted to buy a third one...

Cons: well there is a con right out of the packaging after downloading the software for the e-hammer it says my drives are not compatible. I have yet to try to update firmware or try to get it to work so i cant say that it does not work. I still think it is a 5 star product either way. I am sure it works just need to maybe update firmware or something of the sort.

Overall Review: Although this product is oem and does not come with bundled software my second order of one of these came with a software disc pretty nice.

Good but Noisy...

Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes
Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes

Pros: Keeps temperature low. It looks nice. Customer Service was good. Low price.

Cons: The only con I have.... The noise... I thought it wasnt supposed to be noisy... but it is... even in my define r3 case which is a silent case (the reason why i bought it).

Overall Review: I contacted customer service to ask for them to replace my fans because they were too noisy. They did without a problem, free shipping and all. I replaced the fans and still just as loud. Took a fan off and left one on... still loud. I might be a bit harsh but I build this pc so i could use in my home studio. So the noise is a problem for me. To be fair the cooler performs well and not loud... just a bit noisy.

Not too bad

Moneual LAB EGI 0.8mm Y602B Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case w/300W TFX Power Supply
Moneual LAB EGI 0.8mm Y602B Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case w/300W TFX Power Supply

Pros: Price. Expansion options, roomy compared to most htpc cases, can ultimately be placed horizontally or vertically.

Cons: Instructions aren't very helpful it doesn't mention the optional fan size which I eventually measured and found out is 60mm. Case is somewhat flimsy. The casing does not match up to the front panel flawlessly. The psu is not installed very securely, and seems that there is no way to unless you modify case. You may think the power blue light and the red harddrive status light are cool, but those things are BRIGHT!!!!!! specially the blue, and when the red blinks the light looks purple. This is a HTPC case i think people want their light off to enjoy media with lights off, and unless if you go over the LED's with a black sharpie you will have your living room looking like a rave. xD

Overall Review: They should have optional feet for playing it horizontally. They should have included the optional fan and they should have added another at the removable case panel. Better front panel to metal case transition would be nice so that it actually matches up nicely and doesn't leave an annoying gap... Never carry the case with a hand on the front panel for it is very flimsy and it will easily pop off.
