Pros: Came with SATA power and data cables AND a dvd with PowerDVD, PowerProducer, Nero Express, In CD, Acrobat Reader, and a product manual on it (I didn't need these but it's a definite plus.) Installed XP using this drive even though it's SATA (there are STILL some SATA burners on the market that don't work without drivers meaning you can't use them to install from CD/DVD.) Item was well-packaged from Newegg.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I'm currently backing up my non-essential data using garbage media. 10/10 wrote successfully at 16x so far. ZERO coasters so far even with low quality media! It has everything a retail package would have other than the box. Unless you really need Lightscribe this is the drive you want to buy.

Pros: Big. Cheap. Successfully formatted and installed XP. Running ok...for now.

Cons: Like the previous reviewer my drive is running incredibly loud, louder than my first gen Raptor, and sounds like it is struggling to spin. I definitely don't trust it with my important data (so what's the point of having a big hard drive?) 11/07 manufacture date so the 3 year warranty is actually a 2 year warranty for me.

Overall Review: Buyer beware of the low price. Be prepared to RMA and realize your warranty is only 2 years.
