Mine work just like all the other G.Skill memory modules I have
Cons: They're boring - they only do what they're supposed to do. Wish they would make my coffee in the morning.
Overall Review: These are in a new Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro-P mboard. Computer agrees that these sticks of memory are what they claim to be. Enabled the XMP profile in the BIOS and they went to work. I'm used to using G.Skill memory as my first choice. No drama, they just do what they're made to do for years and years.
It's a cheap knock-off of a "Table-Mate" brand product
Pros: Good price, easy set-up.
Cons: Table top does not sit level, is canted towards the back at most level setting. Legs aren't very sturdy and the table top doesn't hold in place as well as the Table-Mate brand products. This table will not remain stable under the weight of an average laptop. Don't leave anything weighing much on this type of table for any extended period of time as the plastic table top will bend and stay deformed. I knew I was buying a knock-off product, just wished the people who designed this one paid closer attention to the original's design.
Overall Review: I just wanted another table like this for one of our grandsons to use when he's staying with us. It's just good enough for the purpose of eating or drawing on. I'd pass on this one if I were you.
It's a Ryzen 5 CPU
Pros: It works. AMD cooler works, too.
Overall Review: Was time to build a new box as my Ryzen 5 1400 Dell Gaming PC is 5 years old. Paired this 5600X with Gigabyte's B550M Aorus Pro-P mATX with compatible articles from G.Skill, WD, Seagate, HP, MSI Radeon, and Seasonic. Using the AMD supplied cooler and stock settings (no overclocking) running Win10 Pro this new system is stable and runs cool. Later I may push the settings up a bit but for now, two weeks in, no drama, no shouting and pointing, just stable and cool. AMD CPUs are the way to go.
A really good case
Pros: Attractive, well appointed, all the hardware you could ask for, good ventilation
Cons: Don't expect a Mercedes at this price point, but it's better than a Chevy,
Overall Review: I want to give this Fractal Designs case 5 eggs, but I just can't because it's not built out of heavier stock. Even though I only give it 4 eggs they are good, proud eggs. This is a really good case: excellent design and execution. The last cases I bought and built up were Rosewill brand which are made of heavier stock than this line by Fractal, but not by much. If you aren't planning on using this case for a traveling computer you should give this model a good, long look. I do give this case high praise. Just wish it were made of heavier steel. The Petrol Blue paint on the case I received is excellent, inside and out. I stuffed a mATX Gigiabyte B550M Aorus Pro-P, a modular PSU, one optical drive, one HDD, and a Radeon RX 6600 GPU from MSI, and there's still room for a bit more stuff! Adequate avenues for cable management are available. The fasteners they include for building up your system are high quality and well finished with good quality black paint. The two included front panel fans I received are quiet and functional. I added one more 120mm fan to the rear panel to pull more air through the case. Overall I am very happy with this case by Fractal Designs. The single, withheld egg is only because of the gauge of sheet metal used, not the design or build quality. If you are going to put this case on your desk or floor and leave it there then this is an excellent case for you.
Peaceful easy setup
Pros: Solid construction, great documentation, no-nonsense cooler attachment, 2.5 Gbit Realtek ethernet onboard, and one M.2 heat sink was included.
Cons: No wifi or Bluetooth onboard, Already knew this. If I want those functions later I'll just add a Fenvi adapter.
Overall Review: The Aorus line of motherboards has earned a lot of respect from users/builders. The last Gigabyte board I built up was an AM3 which lasted for 4-5 years of 24/7 power-on and daily use. For my use I chose to over-build my daily driver, not for gaming, just browsing, multimedia use, document and photo editing. My choices: This B550M Seasonic M1211-620 watt modular PSU(old stock) Ryzen 5 5600X w/AMD cooler 32GB (2X16GB) G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200 memory 500GB WD_Black SN770 M.2 2280 NVMe SSD 2TB Seagate Barracuda 3.5" HDD HP Sata DVD-CDRW optical drive(old stock) MSI Radeon RX 6600 MECH 2X 8G GPU Tucked into a Fractal Design Focus G case, blue, with 2 front mounted fans 1 Thermaltake Pure A12 PWM 120mm White LED case fan added to rear panel (exhaust) Almost went with the 5600G APU as this MB will work with it, but stepped up and added the RX 6600 GPU to better drive the 2 Acer monitors and get into gaming some in a vain attempt to keep up with my grandkids. The system booted into settings on first power up, BIOS on my MB is V1.4, no flashing necessary for my purposes. W10 Pro installed quickly from USB right after checking settings. Everything runs cool and stable on basic settings, no overclocking needed to keep me satisfied for now. Each newer generation of motherboards get easier to mount and assemble into working machines than the previous ones. As usual Newegg shipped out my order quickly, everything arrived in great shape. Two weeks in and it still purrs along, cool and quiet. No extra LEDs are included as none are needed. Each of the three fans in the case have white LEDs, that's enough illumination for the inside. This box fits under my desk, perched on a stand over the UPS. Robust is the best word to describe this model of Aorus B550M Pro-P motherboard. If you want/need a solid board to build into your next machine this series from Gigabyte is worthy of your attention.
Does what I need it to do
Pros: Plug 'n play with Ubuntu External antenna with enough lead length
Overall Review: This wireless network adapter card truly is plug 'n play under Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS. Clean install on an older Asus Crossfire Phenom X4 m-board; power up, select wi-fi network, log in and online, just like that. This older gaming rig has been reassigned to album ripping duty in my new home where I haven't gotten around to wiring the place yet. This FV-AX3000 wireless network card gives me performance almost as good as a wired network connection in its current location. Can't comment on Windows installation, but almost any Linux install with this card should be just as uneventful as mine. To say I recommend this series of Fenvi wireless network adapter cards is an under-statement. The external antenna sits over 2 feet above the CPU and with a magnetized base will stay put on any steel surface. This computer is ready to go online and be used anywhere in the house now.
Cleaned up our charging stations
Orico Tech almost scored a home run with this charging/power strip. If they had only reversed or turned the outlets with the grounds of the AC sockets facing out it would rate 5 eggs. As this unit provides 5 USB charging ports our charging station in the living room is now a lot neater! Before we had four separate chargers plugged into two power strip/surge suppressors to be able to charge our phones and tablets in the living room. I bought two so I could also clean up my desk and drop 2 extension cords for chargers and auxiliary power for devices near my computer. If they last more than three years they will have paid their way for us. These were on sale when purchased and are a great value.
Great big bag
Brand new well made and appointed older style laptop bag with plenty of room for everything I need, and then some. Delivered on time, arrived in excellent condition. HP knows what is needed in a laptop case and produced a winner in this one. Newegg and Laptops 4 Less delivered!
