Pros: blindingly fast linux operation good value for the money spent

Cons: s.m.a.r.t. feature on mine is defective. incorrectly reports hdd temp as 100*C (212F) constantly. it runs cool to the touch, so it probably has a bad thermistor/ sensor.

Overall Review: i thought i ruined the drive until i opened the case and touched it.

Pros: from GoHardDrive, $49.99 clean and quiet passed GSmartControl tests on linux install

Cons: GSmartControl found the s.m.a.r.t. self test logs from the previous owner. my drive had 30,075 hours runtime before refurb., and currently has 8 reallocated sectors. this is NOT a NEW hard drive.

Overall Review: 1 this drive should be marked "REFURBISHED" for sale 2 you do not get more than you pay for.

Refurbished Drive

Hitachi (0A38028) 1TB 32MB Cache 7200RPM SATA2 (3.0Gbps) 3.5" (Heavy Duty) Hard Drive NAS, RAID, CCTV DVR, PC/Mac - OEM w/ 1 Year Warranty Linux's GSmartControl found the self-test logs embedded on the drive i received. I have hard copies these logs for my records. at 30,075 uptime hours, this is not a new drive. Seller needs to label this drive as "refurbished" BE WARNED
