iding temp around 13'c ?!?!
Pros: this thing runs uber cool my first boot up my cpu temp reading was 10'c !!!! after running 3 hours of prime95 , load temp never went above 29'c (Prime95 was running on my C2D e6600 system overclocked at first stage to 3Ghz) I am impressed! I originally wanted to get Tuniq tower of Noctua but they were both out of stock so i went with this one. i was hoping this would do better than 9500 but this thing cools my system so well that my NB on my Asus P532N-E SLI board is benefiting in terms of cooling. I am VERY satisfied ^ _^
Cons: NONE,, well i did cut my hands and bled even though i had read other peoples getting injured while installing this b4 i got this. I actually got cuts while connecting 12v connector on the board,, not while installing this cooler on mobo. You should be careful when installing this:p
Overall Review: My old P4 Northwood idled around 23'c ,,, my AMD64 FX-57 idled around 25'c air both air cooled,, and Now with this cooler, My C2D e6600(overclocked to 3Ghz for the first overclocking stage) idles around 14'c i know its winter time but still this is running unbelievably cool. ive read some reviews saying the thermal grease thats comes with this package cools better than arctic silver 5 so i used zalmans thermal grease even though i had artic silver 5 in my hand.
i regret that i bought these RAM
Pros: runs at stock SPD
Cons: These Modules are based on Promos,, it was misleading,, that all dominators are using Microns d9,, These modules use PROMOS,, NOT !! D9!!,, PROMOS are known to overclock poorly comepare to Microns,,
Overall Review: don't take my word for it,, go do research on this model
plugin n play?
Pros: price? if the rebate does go through
Cons: recognized as 4 gb as the other user mentioned,, I took the comment of the ocz manufacturer' s comment and went on to the ocz tech forum to format the drive to NTFS yet will only formate is as 4GB drive. I emailed the tech support and waiting for an answer.
Overall Review: If the tech support cant help me ,then I have no choice but to RMA the drive. What a hassle! I am kinda upset right now cuz it took 6 business days for it to be shipped from Tennesee to Georgia (TN n GA is right next to each other? and it takes 6 days? come on!) and its not working as it should be.
Pros: B2 batch bought in year 2006 now running on MSI P35 Board. Running 24/7 3.3 Ghz @ stock voltage on air. I had this processor more than a year. satisfaction from the e6600 is so greater than my urge to buy the new intel 45nm processors.
Overall Review: I have owned or tested from Celeron 420, E4300, E4400, E4500 and Q6600( all are based on C2D architecture ) and E6600 is my favorite. Overclocks well, good cache size, and also runs cooler than Quads :)
Great Great Board!!
Pros: second MSI motherboard and what a wonderful job they did on this particular board. I already had a board for C2D( Asus P5N32-E SLI 680i board ) which i never had any problem with other than the heat issue. I have bought top of the line ASUS boards in the past from socket A to socket 478 and 939. However I was not 100% happy with P5N32-E SLI as I was with other ASUS boards. Since I did not want to install aftermarket cooler nor water cooling on my old motherboards NB and SB chipset, I just turned for budget boards with nice overclockability and minimal essential features. I came down to Gigabytes DS3L and this one. and How glad I am that I chose and bought this P35 NEO2 FR! Installation was so easy that this was my first time that I didnt even bother to open the manual and read it other than front panel jumper cable setting. Overclocking was phenomenal! I am running E6600(batch from year 2006 Stepping B2) @ 3.4GHZ @ vcore of 1.36!!! idling temp 18/20'c prime95 stress temp only 47/48'c!
Overall Review: Here is my setup: Zalman 9700 CPU cooler E6600 (bought it little over year ago) 2GBs of dual Crucial Ballistix PC8500 ( I am planning on overclockign the RAM and cant wait!) BFG 7950 GT OC VGA card X-FI Platinum sound card This board is most bang for the buck! You can't go wrong with Revision 1.1 =) Keep Up the Good Work MSI!
I chose this over Antec 900
Pros: Previously I have used cases from Cooler Master to 4 different Antec Cases ,yet This is the best case i have used. I really liked Antec 900 cuz it has that huge case fan on top and having PSU in bottom. However I chose this case cuz this one has air filter built in. with other cases that i had owned previously, I had to clean inside the case frequently due to dust build up. Not with this case, I really love the air filter! I do not know why Antec did not design 900 with air filter when they pretty much copied Thermaltake Armor 's design.
Cons: case fan located on top died after 4 months, but it can be replaced easily. other fans are running smooth and fine to this day
Overall Review: none
