Perfect

CM Storm Xornet - 2000 DPI Optical Gaming Mouse with Durable Omron Microswitches
CM Storm Xornet - 2000 DPI Optical Gaming Mouse with Durable Omron Microswitches

Pros: Comfortable, sturdy for being so light-weight. The buttons are responsive with a soft rubberized feel to them. The rubber grips are a nice touch. This mouse feels great in my hand, and I've been using a L****** marathon mouse for years. This one is almost exactly the same size and shape, but it has a comfy ridge for my ring finger. I was worried that I wouldn't like having a wired mouse for the first time in nearly a decade, but it doesn't bother me at all. It improves responsiveness in games too which is a huge plus. The sensor works great on the $14 plain black mousepad I bought with it.

Cons: Nothing really. The slightly lower 2000 dpi setting might deter some super hard-core gamers, but I've been using it for Mass 3 multiplayer for a little over a week now and it's a dream.

Overall Review: Best bang for your buck. If you're looking for an inexpensive gaming or even general purpose mouse, this is the one. Newegg rocks!

Most Critical Review

Disappointed

BIOSTAR TA75M+ FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
BIOSTAR TA75M+ FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Everything you'd expect from a standard FM1 Llano-compatible motherboard. Very stable, but I haven't touched overclocking yet.

Cons: No RAID 5 on any FM1 motherboards, but this motherboard includes the option in the BIOS, which locks up the board and forces a CMOS reset. Very bizarre. No Wake-On LAN support, which makes this board absolutely useless for a file-server. BIOS does not display correctly through the HDMI port. Terrible out-of-the-box overclocking support, but BIOS updates are forthcoming.

Overall Review: The RTL8111E pci-express NIC supports Wake-On LAN according to Realtek's product page, but the option is not present anywhere in the UEFI BIOS. To make a motherboard these days without RAID 5 or WOL support just blows my mind. I can sacrifice a few TB of storage and run RAID 10, but sadly I can't live without WOL. As usual, NewEgg rocks! I expect I'll have no problem returning this for a replacement.

Fast Read, Slow Write

Mushkin Enhanced Ventura Plus 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model MKNUFDVS64GB
Mushkin Enhanced Ventura Plus 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model MKNUFDVS64GB

Pros: Using ATTO and either NTFS or exFAT, the drive delivers Read speeds of almost exactly 190 MB/s.

Cons: The Write speed was 44 MB/s, or roughly half of the advertised performance. For reference, I've had a cheap 16 GB drive for about a year that also reaches 44 MB/s, and my external HDD gets up to 90 MB/s (using the same USB3 port).

Overall Review: I might return this, since the write speed will make a difference for what I need it for. Also, Newegg logged me out while writing this, and I had to re-type it. What's the point of the "Remember Me" button if Newegg forgets who I am so quickly?

Great Keyboard

Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Keyboard - Retail
Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Keyboard - Retail

Pros: Great keyboard. I've been using laptop chiclet keyboads for ~5 years and the transition to this was a breeze. The keys are the perfect height, quiet, responsive, and have just the right amount of spring to them. The backlight is adjustable and looks great, too. The volume/media buttons work without drivers, but the Microsoft keyboard software is awesome. It's very straight-forward and easy to use. The construction feels solid, and the textured plastic palm-rest is comfortable enough, though I would have preferred something a bit softer. The technology they use in this thing to solve the ghosting problem is fascinating, and clearly works well. I expect to get a lot of years out of this!

Cons: Can't think of anything!

Overall Review: This keyboard has just the right amount of bells-and-whistles, and is totally worth the cost. Newegg rocks!

Crazy Fast

Team Color Turn 16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive (Brown) Model TG016GE902C3
Team Color Turn 16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive (Brown) Model TG016GE902C3

Pros: Incredibly Fast. I'm getting 50MB/s write speed and 70MB/s read speed for a 5.5GB file. Much faster than advertised, so maybe I got a lucky flash chip? I'm super happy with this, especially since I only paid $20 for it.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Newegg rocks!

Purple Glow

ViewSonic VX2336S-LED 23" 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, DVI-D IPS-panel LED Monitor
ViewSonic VX2336S-LED 23" 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, DVI-D IPS-panel LED Monitor

Pros: Cheap, fine for reading documents, browsing the internet, etc. Response time would be great for an average gamer, were it not for the major con.

Cons: There is an unbearable purple glow coming mostly from the bottom corners when viewing it straight on. It's really the whole screen--it just depends on what angle you are looking at it. Unfortunately the angle this effect shows up is so small that it's distracting even when viewing the monitor straight-on from 3 feet away. I've played with brightness, contrast, and colors, and no matter what all I see is the purple glow in the corners. It totally kills the experience in movies or games with dark scenes. This also negatively affects the viewing angle. For example, a screen that is white from the front will turn light-purple at 45 degrees. There isn't any noticeable contrast shift like you would see in a TN panel. Everything just gets a little more purple.

Overall Review: Most IPS monitors are expensive for a reason. I was expecting to get something similar to to the slightly-more-expensive 23" models available (which have also been thoroughly reviewed by reputable sites), just without the bells and whistles. Next time I'll buy something with more reviews available.
