Pretty good cooler

Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK 140mm UFB (Updraft Floating Balance) CPU Cooler
Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK 140mm UFB (Updraft Floating Balance) CPU Cooler

Pros: Heat sink itself works quite well. Build quality is tops as I've come to expect from Phanteks.

Cons: Included fans aren't very effective. Cooler works MUCH better with square frame 120MM fans with high SP.

Most Critical Review

Decent fan. Too expensive for performance.

Noctua NF-S12B redux-1200 PWM, High Performance Cooling Fan, 4-Pin, 1200 RPM (120mm, Grey)
Noctua NF-S12B redux-1200 PWM, High Performance Cooling Fan, 4-Pin, 1200 RPM (120mm, Grey)

Pros: Well made, likely to be very long lasting. Low motor noise. Decent airflow at full RPM. Near silent at reduced RPM.

Cons: Does not move air well at low RPM. Not suitable for case exhaust with tower cooler in testing, static pressure is very poor at low RPM. Usable in low heat situations. Not recommended for critical heat movement scenarios. Very poor price/performance in my testing. As intake fan simply does not move enough air at even full rpm to justify blade noise.

Probably the best budget case for the money!

Phanteks Eclipse P400 Series PH-EC416P_WT Glacier White Steel Side Window ATX Mid Tower Cases with 10 Color RGB Downlight
Phanteks Eclipse P400 Series PH-EC416P_WT Glacier White Steel Side Window ATX Mid Tower Cases with 10 Color RGB Downlight

Pros: Great aesthetics and layout. Attention to detail is fantastic. Paint job and material quality is tops. RGB lighting is neat. Lots of space behind the mainboard tray for wire routing. Lid is easy to remove.

Cons: The top fan filter is not overly well conceived and kinda cheep looking ( I mean ... who would use a top panel as intake? ). There are a few minor blemishes in the pain job. It would be better if there was a third wiring grommet on the mainboard tray between the existing two. It would be nice if the case was a bit deeper so it can support large tower heatsinks.

Overall Review: I am using the case with the Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK cooler which will not fit in the case with the included 140mm fans. I am currently using a pair of old Coolermaster Blademaster 120mm fans and they actually SIGNIFICANTLY out preform the included fans with this cooler and allow it to fit without a hitch. I am using Corsair AF140 and 2 SP120 as intake and 3 AF120s as exhaust - Works quite well though I will likely mod the top panel to reduce obstruction.
