WD External HD

Pros: Newegg service & shipping, bar none. HD booted right up and was in service within 10 minutes. Quiet & cool, this baby.
Cons: Power Supply failed, contacted WD and they answered on 1st ring, said they'd had numerous calls about this problem and said they'd ship a new PS right away. have not rec'd it yet, but the call was made only three days ago.
Overall Review: Get it, it's a great HD for the $.
Ouch.

Pros: Physical construction very sturdy, nice case. Feels heavy. Storage size of 1TB. Wow. I actually ordered a 650GB drive, but the 1TB arrived in its place. Sorta wish Newegg would have sent the 650. See Cons.
Cons: Ordered 12-19-08, arrived 12-27-08,, used once on 1-1-09, was dead on 1-3-09. No off switch or indicator (other than the power led). Unit powered up once, I loaded lots of family photos/videos on it. Three days later, it was dead. Missed Newegg RMA by 5 days, so far Western Digital has not responded to return/repair requests. Recovery estimates on data - $1000 to $1500. I guess I needed a back-up to my back-up.
Overall Review: 12v AC adapter plug seems loose and wobbly when plugged in to the external drive, not a snug fit at all.
Oh yeah!

Pros: I own two of these and they are terrific - I've tried other brands and they were marginal - this product looks good, works very well, holds a great charge.
Cons: Wish the on/off was a slide switch - but no problems.
Overall Review: Buy this, especially at $40.00 - I paid $60 and it was well worth it.
Oh yea

Pros: Perfect layout for my htpc build, good documentation, booted up and installed XP within 25 minutes. Not one issue. Silverstone lc13b, Gigabyte ga-880ga-ud3h r, PSU ocz 550fty 550W, amd phenom II X2 545 callistro 3.0, Zalman cnps 8700nt, HP blueray combo L12-1368, 1 10000 rpm 80gb samsung for os, 1 1tb seagate for storage, Lenovo wireless remote n5901
Cons: not one
Overall Review: HTPC build for less than $700 - what took me so long?

Pros: It's Crucial, it works.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Upgrade on a Dell laptop, recognized right away, increased speed.

Pros: It's a Polk. All my audio, including my home/cars/suburbans have Polk in them. I even have a vintage set of Polk 10's in the basement man room. Most bang for the buck.
Cons: There are no cons when it comes to Polk.
Overall Review: Rock on Polksters!
