Fastest consumer Proc in the world!

Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition - Core i7 Extreme Edition Gulftown 6-Core 3.33 GHz LGA 1366 130W Desktop Processor - BX80613I7980X
Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition - Core i7 Extreme Edition Gulftown 6-Core 3.33 GHz LGA 1366 130W Desktop Processor - BX80613I7980X

Pros: This thing is Fast. I can check my e-mail, play jezzball, read PDFs faster than anyone I know. I don't even want to get into how fast it plays Solitaire, INSANE!!! Crushes anything else out there... especially for multithreaded apps OCed on Watercooling to 4.33 very easy..

Cons: none.

Overall Review: $1000, That's a lot for a processor, but the expensive part is that when you buy this bad boy, you pretty much commit to spending a boatload more on the other components (Probably why I don't have a wife anymore)

hard drive sucks

WD Passport 120GB USB 2.0 2.5" External Hard Drive WDXML1200UEBN
WD Passport 120GB USB 2.0 2.5" External Hard Drive WDXML1200UEBN

Pros: Hard drive space, portability

Cons: breaks easily, I am on my 3rd drive. First two just broke for no apparent reason, very rarely used on my notebook pc also, so not over used, or transported anywhere. I will say they have good RMA service though.

Fast card

PowerColor Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card LCS AX5870 1GBD5-WMDH

Pros: Very fast card.

Cons: supply, wish I could have ordered a couple more of these to be able t watercool them

Overall Review: have 3 5870s in CrossfireX using 2 non watercooled cards.

Awesome processor

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ - Athlon 64 X2 Manchester Dual-Core 2.0 GHz Socket 939 Processor - ADA3800BVBOX
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ - Athlon 64 X2 Manchester Dual-Core 2.0 GHz Socket 939 Processor - ADA3800BVBOX

Pros: Dual Core is def. The way to go now. Suprised me how fast booted up to WinXP. Load times is the bigges thing I've noticed a difference in going from my 3200+ 939. This processor is awesome. Will move over to my other pc and get an FX-60 when i get the money, but for now, this rocks.

Cons: I guess if you like a slow computer, this processor sucks for you...

Overall Review: Running with 2 GB PC3200 DDR, and a Radeon X850XT (which I recommend you buy here for $160) and overclock with the drivers from ATI, faster than the platinum and $200 cheaper easy to overclock
