Good compact size.

Pros: Compact size leaves a small footprint on bench top.
Cons: None at this time.
Overall Review: Cleaning off the bench top and removed the old bulky surge protectors and replaced with these.
Replacement Phone

Pros: Small, compact, and mobile it is a great addition to the desktop it is gracing. A big improvement over the dying hardwired unit it has replaced. The clarity of the conversations is surprising, and a big plus.
Cons: None at this time
Overall Review: The 20+ year old hardwired phone this unit has replaced had been dropped, banged & pulled off the desk during many a conversation. Age and use had taken a toll on it, and this replacement has been a breath of fresh air. That aside, we have had good luck with this brand, and this particular unit is just the ticket for the job it has to perform. **Follow UP** I had a question "Will the handset stand upright on it's own?" The answer is YES, it will! Still a great piece of equipment, performs flawlessly, and good value for the price.
StarTech PCISOUND4LP 4 Channels 16-bit 48KHz PCI Interface Low Profile Sound Card

Pros: Low profile! Works as advertised. Linux compatable.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Purchased to replaced the failed sound on the motherboard of an old HP Desktop. Popped right in & puts out the music. Linux compatable with no problem on Linux Mint 17.
Insten 798760 12 ft. 3.5mm Stereo Plug to Jack Extension Cable M-F

Pros: Works great, I can move my head while listening with headphones!
Cons: Too long? I may have gone a bit overboard from the short wires of my headphone to this, but I'll not going to ding the product for that.
Overall Review: My headphone wire was too short for where I was & the computer case & every time I would turn my head they were yanked off. 12-ft may have been a bit overboard, but better that than too short. Just be aware there is PLENTY of extra wire on this unit!
SIIG 1394 3-port PCI Card Model NN-440012-S8

Pros: Plugged in worked right away. Good Firewire performance.
Cons: NONE!
Overall Review: Used on a research microscope for Firewire video capture. Works great! I saw another user had some problem seating this card in an Optiplex 755, but I did not experience the that problem in my Optiplex 755. It seated properly & worked right out of the box.
MSI R5450-MD1GD3H/LP

Pros: Low profile! Revamping an old HP desktop & need a new video card that fit the case. Installed easily. Very capable for price, a good value.
Cons: I had trouble with the old linux drivers. I had to install it before upgrading the OS, but it still got the job done. I'm not going to ding the card an egg for me not having the latest drivers installed.
Overall Review: Works with Linux Mint 17.1 just fine! I needed a real overhaul on the old machine & this was just the ticket for the video. The older linux drivers were not a friendly for me, so linux buyers beware! Otherwise a solid card & good value for the money.
