Pros: Small, compact, and mobile it is a great addition to the desktop it is gracing. A big improvement over the dying hardwired unit it has replaced. The clarity of the conversations is surprising, and a big plus.
Cons: None at this time
Overall Review: The 20+ year old hardwired phone this unit has replaced had been dropped, banged & pulled off the desk during many a conversation. Age and use had taken a toll on it, and this replacement has been a breath of fresh air. That aside, we have had good luck with this brand, and this particular unit is just the ticket for the job it has to perform.
I had a question "Will the handset stand upright on it's own?" The answer is YES, it will! Still a great piece of equipment, performs flawlessly, and good value for the price.
Pros: Low profile! Works as advertised. Linux compatable.
Overall Review: Purchased to replaced the failed sound on the motherboard of an old HP Desktop. Popped right in & puts out the music. Linux compatable with no problem on Linux Mint 17.
Pros: Works great, I can move my head while listening with headphones!
Cons: Too long? I may have gone a bit overboard from the short wires of my headphone to this, but I'll not going to ding the product for that.
Overall Review: My headphone wire was too short for where I was & the computer case & every time I would turn my head they were yanked off. 12-ft may have been a bit overboard, but better that than too short. Just be aware there is PLENTY of extra wire on this unit!
Pros: Plugged in worked right away. Good Firewire performance.
Overall Review: Used on a research microscope for Firewire video capture. Works great! I saw another user had some problem seating this card in an Optiplex 755, but I did not experience the that problem in my Optiplex 755. It seated properly & worked right out of the box.
Pros: Low profile! Revamping an old HP desktop & need a new video card that fit the case. Installed easily. Very capable for price, a good value.
Cons: I had trouble with the old linux drivers. I had to install it before upgrading the OS, but it still got the job done. I'm not going to ding the card an egg for me not having the latest drivers installed.
Overall Review: Works with Linux Mint 17.1 just fine! I needed a real overhaul on the old machine & this was just the ticket for the video. The older linux drivers were not a friendly for me, so linux buyers beware! Otherwise a solid card & good value for the money.
Pros: Works great! Moves air through the case & is quiet enough for me.
Cons: Running 24/7 for a year & none noted.
Overall Review: Drop in replacement for a failing case fan on an old HP unit. Installed it, plugged it in to the motherboard, closed the case, & fired it up. Has been running since without any trouble.
Pros: Solid well manufactured piece of equipment. Just what was needed to connect an older peripheral to the new computer.
Overall Review: Well, this is just a connecting cable, but here are some thoughts on it just the same. Connecting an older filter switch for a research microscope to the new computer, so errors and missed signals are not welcome occurances. This cable works like a champ!
Pros: Works just fine
Cons: None at this time.
Overall Review: It is a serial cable. Connects the computer to the peripheral & it works!
Pros: Works as advertised.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Needed additional serial support for peripheral equipment. This one fit the bill.
Pros: Small size, solidly built, inexpensive & works with Linux.
Overall Review: This went in one of my found equipment computers that the sound system on the motherboard had failed, so this was installed to restore the sound. We use this in an open area to play music while working & pumps good sound out with ease & clarity. Not all products play well with Linux, but this one does! I have found it well worth the investment for our uses.
Pros: Installed as an exact replacement for a dead case fan. Mounting screws aligned right up & wiring plugged into motherboard without difficulty. Booted system & the fan was able to spin right up & has been working since.
Cons: None noted
Overall Review: Old system is slowly wearing out, but is still needed. Case fan failed leaving us dead in the water. The original was no longer manufactured, but this was an exact replacement in mounting and wiring. $11 of parts kept us from buying a whole new system, and is money well spent! Thanks NewEgg for the info & photos to get the right part.
Pros: Used it to re-install the heat sink after extensive work in the box.
Overall Review: It just plain works, nothing fancy, just does the job & does it well.
Pros: Removes old thermal compound leaving a clean surface for re-installation of heat sink to CPU.
Cons: The process is messy by nature, it seemed to take quite a bit of the product to do the job, but not enough to lose an egg over.
Overall Review: Did a good job of cleanup on the heat sink & CPU to reapply thermal compound.
Overall Review: Keeping it on hand in the repair kit
Pros: The right product for the upgrade on an older system, easy install & recognized by the system. Working well!
Overall Review: Good solid upgrade memory, nothing fancy, it just works.
Pros: Installed the memory, booted the computer and it has run beautifully ever since.
Overall Review: I purchased these for a woefully under powered Dell Optiplex GX620 with a Pentium4 3.2GHz. The two 512MB sticks that were installed when I inherited it were just enough to keep it running, but not do the work it was needed for. These were listed on the Dell site for a SIGNIFICANTLY higher price & back ordered, but Newegg had them in stock & at a price I could afford. When they arrived I popped the old ones out & the new ones in & we were off to the races!
Pros: Again, the unit worked right out of the box.
Overall Review: We were so pleased with the first one we bought last year that when we needed to replace a different phone, we chose this one. Easy to set up and use. A good value for the money.
Pros: Needed extensions for our computers to easily plug in flash drives. Bought 10 of these and they have performed yeoman's service since.
Overall Review: Sturdy USB extensions for flash drives. Working well with daily use.
Pros: Physically tough and stands up the abuse of daily wear & tear. Been through the washing machine as well, and still working!
Cons: Cap is easily misplaced, but if lost a replacement is available from Corsair.
Overall Review: They are physically tough and can take an occasional trip through the washing machine and survive. Upgraded to the 32GB from a similar 8GB that finally failed, and enjoy the greater capacity. Transfer speeds are just fine for what we use it for.
Pros: It works!
Overall Review: We needed a simple DVD reader as a second drive in our machine. Installed this one and it works just fine.
Pros: Installed easily in the low profile case. Running Linux Mint 11 and the card works just fine. Hooked up the external hard drive and it was recognized right away.
Overall Review: We have a lot of Firewire peripherals and I needed an inexpensive card to upgrade an old low profile computer case. This just slipped right in, was recognized by the Linux Mint and I was running! Good inexpensive fix.
Pros: Compact size leaves a small footprint on bench top.
Overall Review: Cleaning off the bench top and removed the old bulky surge protectors and replaced with these.
Pros: Easy setup right out of the box. Memory upgrade was a snap. Works well in our office setting.
Overall Review: This unit replaced a 7-year old "high capacity" color printer that had finally worn completely out. The colors are crisp & clear and the printing speed is not noticeably slower than the machine it replaced. All in all it appears to be good value for the money.
Pros: Easily installed and works well as a memory upgrade for our new HP Color LaserJet CP3525n printer.
Pros: Works well for the intended purpose.
Overall Review: Purchased these so that the operator could listen to music without bothering others in the room. Works well for the intended purpose and at a reasonable cost.
