Pros: - Very powerful
- Nice keyboard
- Decent screen
- Good build qulity
Cons: - Loud fans.
- Still runs a bit hot
- Doesn't make me coffee.
Overall Review: I’ve had this laptop for about a week now and I love it. I previously used a Sager NP 8170 which was 4 years old. It still works but it was time for an upgrade and I was looking for one a bit lighter since I travel with it. At less than $1300 with rebate this laptop is a bargain. I am currently playing Assassin’s Creed Unity which requires quite a bit of power to play at max settings. I am very near max settings with a few minor tweaks including low AA. It plays nearly as smoothly as on my desktop which has and R9 290 GPU. The screen is good but not great with a bit of light bleeding on the edges. The keyboard is very nice with very little flex in the keyboard. It also has nearly unlimited color selection. The laptop does run hot when playing but nothing to be concerned about and the fans are a bit loud but I general game with a headset anyway. The speakers are very nice for a laptop. The sound is nice although they are still laptop speakers. The construction quality is good with the only exception being the DVD drive which is flimsy. I would prefer it not even being there so there would be a second 2.5” slot. The design is nice. It’s got some pizazz without being over the top. A couple of quirky things to take note of: For some reason the single HD is partitioned in 2. Nothing major but not what I would have done. I like to set the trackpad to disable when there is an external mouse connected. For some reason I cannot do this. When I click the box the trackpad disables whether there is an external mouse connected or not. Yes these are nitpicky things and that those are really the only problems I have with this machine.
Pros: -It works fine.
-It's a hard drive and it successfully stores my zeros and ones.
Pros: -Plays everything on ultra with very high frame rates.
-This card is a beast and should last me for awhile.
Overall Review: I bought this card for a new gaming build and I have not been disappointed. It plays all the games I throw at it on ultra settings without a problem. I am currently playing Shadow of Mordor with the Ultra pack. The specs for the Ultra pack say it requires 6GB VRAM. This card has 4GB and I still average over 70 FPS.
Pros: -It's a great price for 4 fans
-It moves air
Overall Review: These are fine for moving air but I installed all 4 on one of my kid's PCs. They do the job but are too noisy for me. It doesn't seem to bother her though. I'm thinking of removing 2. Four fans was overkill anyway.
Pros: -Moves a lot of air
Overall Review: I bought this too replace a bad fan on my case. It works great and is quieter than the stock fan. Move more air too. It's more expensive than other fans but you get what you pay for.
Pros: Nice look
Lots of room.
Comes with a fan
Cons: Thin metal (it is a budget case though so I expected this)
Some of the back corners were bent slightly when I received it. I bent them back but this was the only way the one screw would connect in the back so had to bend it back. This is unnoticeable once built though.
Overall Review: I own an Ostrog GT for my gaming build which I like very much so I purchased this case for a budget gaming build for my daughter. Over all I like the case. I got it on sale and I would buy it again.
Pros: A solid OS.
It's not Windows 8.
Cons: My only gripe with Windows is not being able to transfer your User folders to another drive/partition without going through some major hoops. With the prevalence of SSDs you'd think they'd do something about this.
Pros: A really nice PSU
Plenty of cables if you want to Crossfire/SLI
Cables are nice
80 Plus Gold
Cons: None so far
Pros: Perfect for gaming.
Overall Review: This CPU is awesome so far. The stock cooler is fine when not overclocking. I purchased an aftermarket cooler and will soon play with some overclocking although I haven't needed to yet.
Pros: Very happy with this screen. Beautiful display and 144 hz rocks! Just remember that you have to change it from the default 60 hz in device manager.
Cons: It is REALLY bright out of the box. Found some optimal settings online now it looks great. The blacks could be blacker.
Overall Review: In my new build I installed a R9 290 video card and wanted a screen that could be driven over 60 fps. I am not disappointed.
Pros: Latest Z97 chipset
3x PCIe slots
lots of room
Cons: Nothing yet
Overall Review: I bought this motherboard for a gaming build with an i5-4690K. This is a really sweet motherboard for the price. It looks great and has a good amount of room with the ports well placed. It looks nice too if you care about that sort of thing. I don't look into my PC enough for that to matter to me.
Pros: -Amazing power for the price. I don't think you can beat it. My wife started to get into gaming and I was looking for a moderate gaming laptop for her and came accross this one. I saw that it had twin 750m's and I had to do a double take on the price. I almost bought 2, actually, since I have another laptop that my son uses that is on its last legs. This plays what I have put on it on ultra settings.
-Light for a gaming laptop. I own a true gaming laptop and it's a beast. The lightness comes at sacrificing cooling thought.
Cons: -Windows 8. I hate it. I really do. I have it set to be as Windows 7ish as possible.
-It does get hot but that is to be expented for the power. What I don't like is that the fans blow out the side which can get hot on your mouse hand. I wish the vents were in the back.
-As mentioned by others, the touch pad is horrible. Neither my wife or I use it so this is a non-issue for me.
Overall Review: The computer is not perfect but for the price you get some amazing power hence the 5 eggs rating I gave it. Some people had issues with the wifi. I had none so this problem seems to be corrected. Not that it is not dual-band though. If you upgrade to Windows 8.1 then you will need to get the Lenovo BIOS update since you will lose you SLI. I would recommend this to even a serious gamer that want portability.
Pros: This unit does what I want it too. Reads, writes. No issues.
Moves pleanty of air
Cons: Doesn't make me coffee
Overall Review: I purchased these fans to add more exhaust cooling to my case. They work fine and are very quiet. My tower sits right below my desk and I can't hear them at all.
Pros: It does the job
Cons: Wish it came with a 5.25" to 3.5" adapter.
Pros: Runs my games at very high graphics settings.
Got it at a great price
I got it suoer fast
Cons: Only 1 HDMI output but I'm not running 2 monitors so this doesn't matter to me
Overall Review: This was the cheapest 7870 I could fine but it does the job and has what I need. Also, Newegg is super fast on their shipping.
Pros: Cheap for 530W
Powers everything just fine
Cons: Not modular
Overall Review: I didn't need 530W for my build but, on sale, it came in cheaper than the 450W PSU I was going to buy. The only downside being that it isn't modular but I can't complain for the price.
Pros: Got it on sale for $52.99.
Good memory. No issues.
