Mixed Feelings

Pros: Great value. Included cables plus nice stand plus free shipping really make this stand out from the crowd. Screen is beautiful and bright too. As for size, you can put 2 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper side by side and have about an inch vertically and 3 inches horizontally left uncovered. That will be great for reading documents.
Cons: I've had this for about 4 hours now. About 1/3 of the time I turn on my computer, this monitor goes blank after the computer switches to native resolution (showing Windows login screen). The monitor also makes a faint buzz when this happens. Turning off the monitor and turning it on will cause the buzzing to go away and the image to appear. Maybe a trivial quirk. Maybe it will get worse.
Overall Review: With a 3 year warranty, I'll just hold onto it and see what happens. Lots of stuff on my desk says Acer nowadays. This is the first item I have any worries about.
Hydrophobe

Pros: Its comfy when it works, cheap
Cons: I can type papers for school with it, but when I start playing games, the keys in the lower row right of and including b stop working. Completely. Describing a game in AIM, "ad just got soe sus" is what was sent when i typed "and just got some subs" The only reason I can fathom is that my hands are sweating. I am a well hydrated runner in Texas, but this is utterly ridiculous.
Overall Review: So cheap I don't think its even going to be worth returning.
NOT very spill resistant

Pros: Comfy. Feels great to type on. Looks nice
Cons: Spilled about a quarter glass of water on it, and suddenly, every key i pressed registered like 5 random key inputs to the computer.
Overall Review: Happened during an intense game of TA Spring with friends over the internet. My only was to communicate with them was by text messages, so it was very frustrating to be absolutely unable to explain why i was suddenly seemingly self paralyzed as far as the game was going. After a day of blowing a fan on it, I only had a few keys that were registering multiple inputs. Thankfully, WASD were working yesterday :) . Anyway, this morning, a full 60 hours later, it's all working again. Caveat emptor as far as spill resistance goes.
Bad, Bad experience with DiamondMax 10

Pros: One lasted 5 months, the other is still going...
Cons: In June, I bought 2 DiamondMax 10 300gb Hard Drives. Today, Windows tells me its files are corrupt. Trying to fix this, Chkdsk stalls at 25% for 15 minutes, but eventually finishes (with errors). A reinstall of Windows also stalls (while deleting a .log file, not something that should take 20 minutes, (that’s how long I gave it before I gave up hope)). Got Windows working on the other drive, went to Maxtor to start an RMA. They make me download a tool to tell me what I already know before I can RMA. Of course, when I use the tool, the drive is in the working stage of its apparent intermittent operation (working, not working, working, etc). The tool is DOS only, so I cant just wait for it to happen again while continuing normal use of my computer. Rawr.
Overall Review: At least I can get data off.... I have 2 Wxxxern digitals from 4 and 6 years ago now that are still working.
