Intel Fooled Me!!!!

Pros: Be glad that there are more choices to get your SSD's other than Intel!

Cons: I purchased what I thought was the right SSD's to place into my friends old laptop PC to make it fly. After getting the product shipped I logged onto Intel.com to chat with a technician with a few RAID questions using their series 480 SSD products. This was the first steps toward what is now a downhill ride with Intel support. This chat gave me another number I must call to get my question answered.

Overall Review: Gentleman, I purchased 2 SSD drives "Intel" 480's assuming getting "Intel" was primo. Boy have I been fooled. I held online today (916) 377-7000 awaiting my turn for your agent in "Technical Support" that was my 2nd mistake after the purchase. Holding online for your agent one hour. After giving him all the information that was available on the box outside he could not find the serial number I gave him on file. I was then forced to open the box for more information to prove I was a legitimate customer with 2 Intel SSD drives. The crux of the matter is now I can't return the drive back to where I purchased it as it is now an open box only 2 days old or I would. Your agent then instructed me to email a copy of my invoice along with a copy of the boxes the SSD's came in. Now after being patient and telling your agent my situation and what I was trying to do with the 2 SSD drives I was told I would receive instructions by email of what to do next. I explained in complete detail and to the point of what my situation was. Now I get an email back from your company and I quote " Hello Nelson, In regards of our previous conversation we need a brief description on the way you want to use the SSD's in order to provide you the best suggestion for an optimal performance. We will be looking forward to your response. Now gentlemen I gave all the instructions of my total situation on the phone with your agent today for over another 45 minutes or so and fully explained what my situation was and what direction did he suggest I take. Now the email reply above should give INTEL a heads up as to why you are not prospering as you did in prior years because of poor customer service. Making money when things are great is quite easy to do and neglect your customers really don't wreck the ship. Now your company is in the "NASTY NOW AND NOW" and today you proved why the stock is in the tank. I was looking for the email to completely tell me the best approach for the use of these 2 new SSD's, that now I am stuck with minus a restocking fee to return them for one of your competitors products who could not do as bad a job for "CUSTOMER SERVICE" as I received today. You got me this 1 time but I will not tell others to purchase your products as the follow thru is terrible. I would have felt better if your agent would have said "SORRY SIRS" we don't know how to help you please call OCZ, CRUCIAL, or WESTERN DIGITAL they know what to do to help you.
