Great TiVo Premiere replacement
Pros: Used two of these to replace the fans in my two TiVo Premieres. I'd like to echo Fenderbuilt's comments -- they work well, and they're quiet. Like he said, all you need are a #10 Torx and a #15 Torx screwdriver.
Cons: None so far.
Worked great for a year, then glitchville
Pros: * Inexpensive * Looks nice * Works well, when it actually works
Cons: * Doesn't hold up long term
Overall Review: I bought this switching hub just over a year ago and it's worked fine until now. However, it has started randomly glitching. All the lights stay on and it LOOKS like it's working, but it won't transfer data at all. Unplugging and re-plugging it fixes it for a while. If you're a small business and rely on your network 24x7x365, then spend a little extra money to get a Cisco or other professional grade switch.
Works in Lian Li PC-A05
Pros: * This works in the popular PC-A05 cases (such as mine :) ) * Lightweight and well made like most Lian Li products
Cons: * Package does not list which Lian Li cases it's compatible with
Fast, relatively quiet, good value
Pros: * Fast 22x speed. * Much quieter than the old Sony ATAPI DVD drive I replaced with this. * Has read all the various DVDs I've put in it so far. * Nice SATA plug and play interface -- no more switching ATAPI jumpers. * Good price. * The built-in Asus noise reduction/stabilization technology seems to actually make a difference.
Cons: None observed so far.
Overall Review: DVD burners are a dime a dozen these days but not all are created equal. This drive seems to have the right mix of speed and value. Also, the vibration/noise reduction technology touted on the side of the box actually seems to help keep the drive quiet. By the way, Asus offers a nearly identical model with LightScribe, the DRW-22B1LT. However, I didn't feel like paying extra for LightScribe since, IMO, it's much easier and far faster to just print DVD labels in my inkjet, YMMV.
