Pros: Firstly, To the Gentleman below that stated he is not running stable with 4x2Gb of RAM, I would test the RAM. I'm running 4x2Gb of A-DATA Gaming Memory with NO PAGE FILE Flawlessly with Vista Ultimate 64 Bit & PCLinuxOS 32 Bit. Yes, you read it right. I have windows & pclinuxos on separate HDD's. I've been running this Board for 9 weeks and doing a lot of tinkering in the BIOS. It has accepted every change without a Hicup. The BIOS is very user friendly except for figuring out how to set the RAM timings. I resolved that issue by going to the MSI Forum and finding the solution. If you're looking for a ATX HTPC Board that still allows you to use IDE Optical Drives, this is a Great Value: (See "Other Thought's" Below.

Cons: Some might say: It's SATA II. My response is: Google, Sata II vs, Sata III. Virtually No diference. A Mechanical Drive can only Spin so fast. Also, No USB3. If needed down the road, purchase a Add-On Card.

Overall Review: I don't know why newegg is so high priced for this board. I purchased it elsewhere and saved 40% including a rebate. That said, I now own two MSI Motherboards and MSI has become my supplier of choice for Motherboards. Their Service is unequaled. I did have to RMA a 785GT E-63. The same day they received it, they sent out the replacement Board. You May or May Not Know, A$$$ & G$$$$$$$ Hold you up while they try to repair the faulty Board. I'm not into trying to repair a Mobo. I had a terrible experience with A$$$ going down that road. With MSI they don't require you to call and talk to someone who has less technical knowledge than you do. LOL. You can initiate an RMA online and get a RMA # in less than 24 hours if you fully explain the problem and what you all did to try to solve said problem. The system worked Great for me. Same process worked as it should with the Rebate. I had my rebate in 7 weeks.

Pros: Some of you people that award yourselves 4-5 stars for Tech. knowledge, I ask, Do you lie to your wife, kids and Boss too. FYI if you go to Gigabyte support there is a BIOS update dated 03/22/2013-(F-12) addressing EFI!!!!!. The very first thing you should do before installing a new Mobo and/or a Video Card is go to the Mfgr. U.S. website and check support/downloads for the current BIOS, Drivers etc. For Video Cards a person with 4-5 star knowledge should also know to go directly to Nvidia or ATi for the latest Drivers!!!!! This Card Does support Windows 8 and runs like a Swiss Watch in ALL Linux Distro's. For Linux ubuntu, regardless of the Derivitive/Fork you're using, add to your (software sources) the PPA for xorg-edgers/swat-team? Google ppa:xorg-edgers. Update synaptic and you will have the current Drivers and Kernel you need for both both Nvidia & ATi. For people that lack the knowledge/skill for Linux Drivers/Kernels, this is your BEST Source. I'm in Linux-ubuntu-Voyager 12.10 and again, it is running like a Fine Tuned Swiss Watch!!!! Enough Said.

Cons: It won't make my morning smoothie. LOL.

Pros: Decent Mainstream RAM. I'm running it in a: GIGABYTE MA785GM-US2H. For you Guy's that Love to Whine. This RAM DOES NOT BOOT at 5-5-5-12. The JEDEC is: 5-5-5-18-23. My Gigabyte Booted it at: 5-5-5-18-24. You need to manually adjust the Timing in the BIOS. That said, I have it running @: cmd (1T) 5-5-5-15-20. I haven't tried 5-5-5-12. How much speed do I need to watch Bonanza in HULU. LOL.

Cons: This RAM is: Hit or Miss. I bought Two Kits. One Kit had a Bad Stick out of the Box. You Get what you Pay For. Some people will NEVER accept that. LOL. Also, I don't think this RAM should be Marketed at: 5-5-5-12. It's barely Fluid @ 5-5-5-15-20. Enough said.

Overall Review: I bought mine on "Black Friday" for $30.99 per Kit with FREE Shipping from another vendor because Newegg was out of stock.The Bad Kit was promptly replaced with FREE return shipping label. That all said, If your looking for Fast, Fluid Gaming RAM, Look Elseware.

Pros: Works Great with my Logitech Z-2300 Speaker Set. If your interested in this card DISREGARD the Negative Reviews!!!!. This card works as stated in XP, Vista, & Win 7 all 64 Bit. DO NOT USE THE INCLUDED DRIVER DISK!!!!! Either go to Diamond Web Site and download there Ver. 4.0 Driver, or preferably go to C-MEDIA and get the (CM 18768+) Ver. 8.17.38 for XP and Vista. Windows will automatically install it into the 64 Bit Program Files. For Win 7 get the Ver. 8.17.40 Driver. Also if your confused as to this being a 16 or 24 Bit Card, IT IS 24 BIT!!!

Cons: None - It is what it's stated to be.

Overall Review: FYI, The Diamond Driver on their web site Ver. 4.0 is the CM Ver. 8.17.33. The Difference is only the look of the control panel and the 8.17.33 is older. It's evident the Guy's knocking this card, have NO CLUE as to the proper procedure to uninstall and reinstall Hardware Drivers. I use the exact same Driver for this card as I do for my $90.00 HT O$%&*. LOL. If it has the features you're wanting, BUY IT.

Pros: Firstly, this is Rev. 1.2 of this Board Manufactured in Feb. of 2011. It is extremely stable, and has some of the latest features minus USB 3.0 & Sata 6 of which could be added when needed using a add on Card. The on board audio is the new 24-bit/192kHz (LossLess) and sounds as good if not better than my $90.00 HT Omega Sound Card. The on board Video gives you the option to draw up to 1024MB of System memory. Unless you're a serious Gamer, this is all you need for watching Videos & Hulu. If you want to read all of the updated spec's, go to the MSI web site and do a "search" for "785GT-E63". This all said, every feature is working as specified.

Cons: None....I know exactly what I purchased.

Overall Review: A couple of thought's for you people that are building your First Computer. In addition to using a DIY tutorial from a Wheaties Box, try to talk to someone who has built several systems. Google the Board Make and model to see any problems & solutions. Also, as the saying go's....RT$M. This is the First Manual I have seen that suggests to initially boot with ONE STICK OF RAM, in which was a "Known Issue" some years back. To hit the Power Button and have a successful trip to the Desktop, just hookup ONE of everything except for Optical Drives. Also, DO NOT Hookup any external USB Devices of any variety. To clarify this: One stick of Ram, One HDD, One Video Card if applicable. Another very important tip if you're using an existing HDD and want to elimininate any chance of a BSOD. Clear the CMOS and "Write Zero's" to the HDD. BY doing this, I have NEVER had a BSOD!!!! One last note, People moan about Not receiving Rebates. MSI stated 14-16 weeks. I received mine from them in less than 8.

Pros: Just for my own satisfaction, I installed this Card using three different OS's. I installed it into XP Pro, Vista Ultimate,and Windows 7. It work's as designed in all three. That said, when you install a different Sound or Video Card, It's crucial that you totally remove the existing Drivers & Fragments. To remove Drivers, I use a DRIVER CLEANER from guru3d.com called (Driver Sweeper beta 2.0.0.). In doing my usual homework prior to installing this into Vista, I knew Vista would not read it. I downloaded the "AGP Hot Fix" from ATi. Next, I installed it into the ATi Program File. Now go to Device Manager and let windows search your Puter for it. If this doesn't work, then you choose by pointing to the Program File and that worked. With windows 7, I did a Clean new Install and 7 read it and loaded it, however I did have to perform the Update to CC 9.6.

Cons: This Catagory makes me laugh. You read the Product Spec's and determine whether they meet your want's or not.

Overall Review: FYI I installed it into a "DFI LanParty UT nForce3 250Gb/ULTRA". Currently I'm running a "Socket 754 3400+". I have a new unopened box 3700+, that I may install if I don'r sell it.LOL. For you "Newbies" that are all wraped up in the Vista Performance Joke, This system got a 4.4 with the 3400+. Being that I'm not a Gamer, it works just Gr8 watching "The Lone Ranger & The Cisco Kid". LOL. Also, as I write this review I'm running an ATi 780G Chipset with a HD 3850 Card and getting the exact same Vista score. LOL. I hope this info doesn't "Burst Your Bubble". Are you ready for the new 6 core processors that you really need to play Games designed for Single Core. LOL. One last tidbit of info from a 65 yr old guy without one day of Formal Puter Training. LOL. A previous reviewer used CCleaner to remove the old drivers. CCleaner I use too, however it is NOT DESIGNED to clean Drivers. Do yourself a favor and go get the Driver Sweeper beta 2.0.0 from guru3d.
