Absolutely awesome dual sub solution

Definitive Technology ProCinema 60 5.1 CH Home Audio Speaker System
Definitive Technology ProCinema 60 5.1 CH Home Audio Speaker System

Pros: - Awesome sound - Very small (perfect for small to midsize rooms) - All speakers are surprisingly loud and powerful

Cons: - None

Overall Review: I had already bought a pair of Def Tech 450's and a Mythos 8 for a center, and I was stunned at how awesome they sounded. It made my surrounds sound not as good as I thought, and more importantly motivated me to improve my sub. What I wanted was a dual sub solution, and when the price of this system dropped below $200, I sprung. I filled out my system with dual Prosub 60's, two Procenter 60's for my wides (Audyssey DSX), and a pair of Promonitor's for the surrounds. I can't tell you how awesome this setup sounds, and I bought all the speakers on Newegg for a song (pardon the pun). These little subs are surprisingly strong, especially when you have a pair running in tandem, and boy oh boy can a pair make a deep boom. One thing I would also remind any potential buyers out there is that Def Tech suggests a burn in period for their speakers of 20-40 hours, and while I took this whole notion of burn in with a grain of salt, these speakers have really proved it to me. I could hear over a couple of weeks of use how they really deepened and filled out (and this was especially surprising given the size of the satellites), and my system just kept sounding better and better. I reset my LFE for the satellites and surrounds down to 80Hz from the 120Hz Audyssey set it at, and they sound much fuller with perfect clarity. I really can't express how happy I am with this little HTiB. If you have a small/mid-size room and/or budget, these are a steal. You won't get a better HTiB at anywhere near or even double this price. For triple the price, look to the Procinema 600. For a cheap solution for a dual sub setup with a pair of 5.0 systems thrown in for free, you can't beat it.

Great center speaker

Definitive Technology Mythos Eight On-Wall Main and Center Channel L/C/R Loudspeakerr (Black) Single
Definitive Technology Mythos Eight On-Wall Main and Center Channel L/C/R Loudspeakerr (Black) Single

Pros: - Stunning, ultra clear sound - Great looking - Tons of placement options, very easy

Cons: - A little heavy, and possibly a little large (wide, not deep) for some depending on room and needs

Overall Review: I have this speaker matched with a pair (each) of Def Tech 450's, Prosub 60's, Procenter 60's (for Audyssey DSX wides), and Promonitor 60's for surrounds. This system sounds completely, mind-blowingly stunning. In particular to this speaker, dialogue is fabulously clear during movies, and it sounds and looks beyond great. I did not wall mount it, but the included mount is very versatile. You so cannot go wrong buying this speaker.

Absolutely stunning

Definitive Technology StudioMonitor 450 Bookshelf Speaker (Black) Pair
Definitive Technology StudioMonitor 450 Bookshelf Speaker (Black) Pair

Pros: - Sound absolutely awesome - ultra clear highs, mids, and lows - Look fabulous

Cons: Absolutely none. These speakers are absolutely fabulous.

Overall Review: My full system also includes a Mythos 8 center, two Procenter 60 wides (for Audyssey DSX), two Promonitor 60 surrounds, and two Prosub 60's, all driven by a Denon 2313CI. Man, I can't express enough how good Definitive Technology products are, and the prices on these models are simply a steal. You cannot go wrong with these, just give them a little time to burn in as the manual states, and you will be beyond happy you bought these, especially at the ridiculously low prices Newegg has them at right now.
