RSS disabled, SP1 and still slower!

Microsoft Office Outlook 2007
Microsoft Office Outlook 2007

Pros: SP1 works smooth on vista. Better and smarter foreign language support. I like the more features.

Cons: Need this for vista to work. Outlook XP SP3 doesn't work. Crash and need to re-enter password. Outlook 2007 solves this problem. Another con is that it is the slowest outlook ever!!!

Overall Review: New os require new office because Microsoft is Microsoft. I'm running my Core I7 and notice outlook was slower so it must be much slower! Coming from a FX60 with XP to Core I7-920 with vista. Comparing computer to computer my vista with I7 is faster than my windows XP with FX60. So I cannot imagine how SLOW would outlook 2007 run on my old system?

Very Large case

Antec Performance One P-160W Silver 1.2mm Anodized Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Antec Performance One P-160W Silver 1.2mm Anodized Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Side panel is easy to remove and power and usb button on top easy to boot up. Great position for the temp guage readout. Removeable mobo try make it easy to mount the board. Hard drive face the correct direction for easy removal. Cool front light

Cons: I disconnect the reset switch on this case because while unpluging USB very easy to hit reset. The instructions is horrible. It should of stated that the front panel is removed by pulling out the bottom to get to the CD rom. Case is too big for my taste. CD hard to eject due to the dept of the case face button. With enermax liberty i needed to bend the case that hold powersupply so it would fit.

Overall Review: This case is costly for what you are getting. They should of provided a powersupply for the price. I was dissappointed with the instruction.

Great upgrade with great price.

ASUS B760M-AYW WIFI D4 II Intel B760 (LGA 1700) microATX mATX motherboard, PCIe 5.0 x16 Support, two M.2 slots, DDR4, Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, HDMI, SATA 6 Gbps, front USB 5Gbps, Aura Sync
ASUS B760M-AYW WIFI D4 II Intel B760 (LGA 1700) microATX mATX motherboard, PCIe 5.0 x16 Support, two M.2 slots, DDR4, Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, HDMI, SATA 6 Gbps, front USB 5Gbps, Aura Sync

Pros: After installing drivers and upgrading windows 11 the system is so much faster and smoother than my 10th gen cpu z590 asus board that would turn on. The major pros is great price with cheapest 14th gen i5 cpu and runs all my old ram and has wifi for under $100.

Cons: I had window 10. the wifi and many drivers doesn't work. I had to plug in a wifi card to download driver and use a backup USB keyboard/mouse. After upgrading to window 11 I had manually find and install most all the chipset drivers since chipset drivers wasn't installed on their setup file. Don't know it's due to window 10 upgrading and chipset drivers couldn't be installed.

Overall Review: I'm glad i've upgraded and fix my computer for $250. From 10gen to 14th gen it's such a huge performance upgrade. I had a 4th gen and upgraded that to a 10th gen and I didn't see as much difference as this.

Been a week and running good.

ASUS PRIME Z590-P LGA 1200 Intel Z590 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS PRIME Z590-P LGA 1200 Intel Z590 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Good looking board and just a tad shorter than my 1150 board using 3 less screws. The SATA plugs on the board goes on top rather than shooting from the back like my old board which gets in the way of wire and case. The board booted up great and bios was easily access detecting the keyboard. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the cons.

Cons: The chipset driver from the cd it came with would not install correctly on windows 10 home. I was getting SM Bus not installed under devices along with an unfound PCI device. I ended up downloading the the intel 500 driver from Asus's website or perhaps from intel's website and was able to reload it from that since I was reinstalling driver from my download folder and the driver was found. The pci device driver was automatically installed along with it or perhaps window was able to update after that install.

Overall Review: For the price I would recommend this since the new intel CPU will arrive later this year. My prior board perhaps fried therefore I could not wait. Since this chipset is newer and if you plan on not upgrading the CPU perhaps a proven board with good history is the better way to go. Depending on your need this may be a good board for your purpose.

ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: USB bios update and cool LED error codes.

Cons: Memory error code. Limited ram selections. Asus support concluded bad slot. Tried different ram, bios update and still no boot. Two Asus DOA's in a row. No more Asus for me.

My 3rd Edimax wireless card with corded antenna!

EDIMAX EW-7128G Wireless Card IEEE 802.11b/g PCI Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates
EDIMAX EW-7128G Wireless Card IEEE 802.11b/g PCI Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: Very good wireless card. It gets 1.5X the reception compared to many other cards. The software also works well unlike other dropping signals or low bars. Works with Windows 7. Inexpensive

Cons: Antenna with string doesn't look that cool. Also older model which Edimax need to revise. I believe it doesn't work with wireless N nor 32bit OS.

Overall Review: What is the newer version of this car. This is one of a few cars that works upstairs on my house becuse the walls and etc causes most cars to drop signal
