What you expect it is.
Pros: After close scrutiny you will have to agree that this is indeed a painted piece of metal with some holes in it. Furthermore, one so inclined could most likely attach various things to it and then in turn attach it to various other things.
Cons: I only have the one.
Overall Review: If I had enough of these I would build a castle.
Pros: I put disks in and then things happen on my screen. Usually good things. Its pretty cheap.
Cons: Nope. Nothing really. Maybe it could have really fast servos for the opening mechanism, so like if you had your hand in the way it would take some fingers. That could be a good conversation piece.
Overall Review: I suppose it would actually burn disks if I wouldnt feel like a caveman doing so.
Pros: Moves plenty of air quietly. Perfect amount of light. Nice color. Mesh wrapped 3 pin connector.
Overall Review: These are perfect if you have been down the red, blue path and don't like green or orange....or yellow, because, they are in fact purple. Also perfect if you want some color in a PC near where you sleep. These don't even really cast light farther then like 6 inches away from the fan. If you want a purple fan, this is it.
Good Performace vs. Cost
Pros: Relatively cheap. Cools well. Straight forward, simple mounting system. i5 2500k on a GA-z68-ud3. 32c idle to mid 50's load at stock clocks with only the one included fan. Mid 70s F ambient. Used arctic silver 5 and the fill the gaps and two line application method. Tutorials can be found on the web of the best way to apply your thermal grease choice to a DHP cooler.
Cons: Included fan is junk. I went ahead and used it on my budget build, But I would search around for a much better PWM fan if this is to be your pride and joy. Given what you might spend on a decent fan one might add that to the price and see what coolers you could acquire at that price range. Ascetically its not bad, would look alot better with a crystal led fan. It looks nowhere near as cool as 9 series zalman, but it would not be shameful to see this through your window. Its construction seems a little rough, you can see some jaggies here and there, mostly on the fins and on the contact plate around the heat pipes. The mounting system. The thumbsrew mounting system is a pretty fresh departure from awkward screws and clips that make the board emit horrible creaking noises while you torque them down. I am little skeptical of the isolation washers that contact the MB. On my MB there are traces under these. Take care. Proximity to memory on p67/z68. cont in other....
Overall Review: If you are planning on populating every memory slot on 1155 board you might have some spacing issues if your particular ram has even moderately tall heat spreaders. I used a 16 gig set of g-skill ripjaw and had to hack of a portion of the fan frame to give the dimm socket closest to the cpu socket enough room to fit without rubbing or having to begin the ram insertion at a strange angle. So keep that in mind. Low profile ram or low profile fan, or be prepared to hack. Overall, a decent cooler at a decent price. But the cheap fan sorta brings it down a peg. Xig should look into including a lower profile fan to accommodate sandy bridge.
Easy Setup. Works Well.
Pros: Works in BIOS. GA-z68-ud3 f5 Functions with vanilla MS drivers. (No bloatware) Decently responsive. Lightweight and fairly nice aesthetics.
Cons: None for the price.
Overall Review: Perfect for a HTPC or simple office functions. The mouse is about as basic as they come, I suppose one could casually game with it, but it will not satisfy a serious gamer.
