nice big fan. needs a hard surface

Pros: quiet. big fan
Cons: completely plastic which is not as good for heat transfer. No cover on the bottom of the fan which means you cannot use it on a soft surface (i.e. in bed) because it will block the fan
Overall Review: The open fan on the bottom is definitely a problem for me. I ended up solving it by gluing a piece of plexiglass to the bottom, but if you are planning to use this in bed, you might as well buy something where you don't have to worry about this.
not strong enough to cool my laptop

Pros: was cheap.
Cons: this may just be for my laptop, but the fans don't seem to cool it very well. Maybe they are in the wrong location, but haven't had this issue with other laptop coolers. The fan is very noisy. There is no lip on the edge to keep the laptop from sliding off the end. I gave up on this and just bought another cooler. The Antec cooler worked much better for my 13" sony vaio.
stay far away from PNY

Pros: cheap
Cons: first one was DOA after paying for shipping for the replacement (making it not so cheap), the second one did work. However, despite proper set up and alignment, it is slower than my HDD. AS SSD benchmark shows 48 seq read and 36 seq write. I have installed over 20 SSDs from all different manufacturers and this is by far the worst.
awful. doesn't install correctly

Pros: none that I can tell. I liked the PC Tuneup 2014 version.
Cons: There is a known issue with the One-click failing. They have not been able to fix it and the software doesn't work. When googling the issue, it dates back to Nov 2014. They have a beta that the community website directs you to download, but you can't run that version with the key from this package. Their online help was ridiculous. Took over an hour for the support person to just repeat what I was doing and have the same outcome. They need better quality support. I also asked that they reset the clock on the subscription since it hasn't worked from day 1, but they refused. So basically paying for a non-working subscription until they fix it, which doesn't appear to be soon.
doesn't work

Pros: none that I can see
Cons: works initially when plugged in but within 5 min, begins to overheat and then the transmitted picture degrades until it shuts down completely. Unless you only need to give 5 min powerpoint presentations from your laptop to a projector, stay away.
didn't work

Pros: none yet
Cons: Could not install drivers into Win 7 64 bit. Help desk was responsive at first and gave me a bunch of things to try but none worked. After the suggestions didn't work, didn't hear from them at all about what to do next.
