Excellent Product

POWEREX MH-C801D Eight Cell AA/AAA 1 Hour Charger
POWEREX MH-C801D Eight Cell AA/AAA 1 Hour Charger

Pros: This is the charger to own. I'm using 2900mAh standard NiMH and the newer technology (slow discharge) 2100mAh Imedion batteries (similar to Sanyo Eneloop). It handles both well. I have no complaints and I don't even consider it expensive.

Cons: Needs a backlight on the lcd panel. Even a dim one would be better than nothing. I also wish the power cable plugged into the side instead of the back - it would make it easier to arrange multiple units together (I have four chargers).

Unreliable but fast

OCZ Vertex Series 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-1VTX60G
OCZ Vertex Series 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-1VTX60G

Pros: Pros: The drive is fast, silent and easy to install.

Cons: Con: They simply do not last very long.

Overall Review: I'm rating the Vertex 60GB drive 2 eggs. If I were rating the company OCZ I'd rate them a full 5 eggs. I received 2 replacements for my 2 failed drives, and I received them without hassle and very promptly. Simply filled out OCZ's online RMA form and they asked a couple questions about how I used the drives (i.e. no RAID here) and they let me ship them both back in the same box with the same RMA#. Couple days later I have 2 new drives via Puro. Excellent customer service! I only wish they weren't the exact same drives because I have ZERO confidence in them. NONE. What are the chances of 2 drives croaking within a week of each other? There must be a design flaw in them. Just read the reviews here. I have been computing since 1978 and can cut code in several low-level languages including Assembly and C. Have built literally hundreds of PCs over the years. I'm not a newb, and have never seen drives fail this way before. Anyway, good luck if you purchase them.

Working Perfectly in Z87-Pro MB

G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9Q-16GBZL
G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9Q-16GBZL

Pros: This memory has been working flawlessly in my ASUS Z87-PRO mainboard for well over a month now. Very happy with my purchase from NewEgg.ca

Cons: No cons at all on the product its self, however the shipping materials could have been more robust. The plastic packaging was damaged when I opened the shipping box. Why they put the memory right on the bottom of the box without any padding is beyond me. Lazy I suppose. The entire product should be wrapped in bubble wrap or paper or something, not just thrown in a box with some padding on top.

Tremendous Technology

NEC Display Solutions PA271W-BK Black 27" WQHD Height, Swivel & Pivot Adjustable IPS Panel Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1000:1
NEC Display Solutions PA271W-BK Black 27" WQHD Height, Swivel & Pivot Adjustable IPS Panel Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1000:1

Pros: I'm a full-time professional photographer and we use two of these NEC wide-gamut displays on Windows 7 64-bit and calibrate weekly with an x-rite colorimeter (a special wide-gamut version by NEC called 'MDSVSensor") using the excellent SpectraviewII software. You simply choose your target and click go and Spectraview handles the entire process automatically. Takes about 15 minutes. Properly calibrated, all my Epson 3880 prints come out looking exactly as they appear on the displays. Amazing. Could not be more happy with NEC. Darren Scala.

Cons: Absolutely no cons.

Overall Review: I only wish we got 30" versions, but they command a substantial premium over the 27". I believe the 27" offers the best value.
