SLi works.
Pros: recently bought a second card for SLI and i am very pleased with the performance, it does get roughly 1.8x performance. i noticed they upgraded the design a bit and made better airflow around the card from when they released it earlier this year. overall very pleased with this, and the original card.
Cons: no heatsink on the ram, which limits overclocking. if you are not an advanced user, SLI it not for you. and also the 9800/8800GT is $5 more. get that instead if you can.
Overall Review: this card is NOT big as everyone is saying, the new GTX cards are(as far as i know) much bigger. so if you think this is big, dont expect to fit an upgrade, or get good temps. call of dury 4 with SLI runs at 90FPS in multiplayer and during single player stays around 70FPS. crysis and crysis warhead run on high/gamer 0xaa/x16af 30-40FPS and very smooth. all benchmarks at 1680x1050 resolution. though there are a few issues with SLI(nothing major) everything has run perfect for me. if you need help with SLI feel free to email me at [email protected]. system: E8500 3.16Ghz, 2GB ram, SLI 9600GT, vista 64-bit.
fast, great material, useful.
Pros: -one side for speed, and one side for control. -great material for gaming on. -love the design.
Cons: -PRICE! after shipping it was $50, wich is a bit steep for a mousepad. -dont use the wrist rest very much.
Overall Review: replaced a generic mousepad. quite glad i did, im very happy with it so far. goes great with my diamondback 3g and tarantula keyboard. spec: E8500 @4.03Ghz 1.29v, XFX 780i, 9600GT SLI, 6GB 1000Mhz DDR2 ocz/kingston.
good price, fast.
Pros: -worked fine alongside a 2GB kit of kingston hyperX. -fast, EPP and SLI ready. -perfectly stable.
Cons: none.
Overall Review: glad it worked with my kingston, total of 6GB ram now. spec: E8500 @4.03Ghz 1.29v, XFX 780i, 9600GT SLI, 6GB 1000Mhz DDR2 ocz/kinston.
high airflow, good quality.
Pros: -increased intake airflow. -decreased all temps. -mounted easily.
Cons: none.
Overall Review: got it to replace the stock RAIDMAX fan in my case. spec: E8500 @4.03Ghz 1.29v, XFX 780i, 9600GT SLI, 6GB 1000Mhz DDR2 ocz/kinston.
works, good quality.
Pros: -droped temps about 1-5c from arctic silver 5. -good quality, probably the best consumer thermal paste on the market.
Cons: none
Overall Review: ran out of arctic silver 5, so i got this and was happy at the results. even a slight temp drop is nice. spec: E8500 @ 4.03Ghz 1.29v, XFX 780i, 9600GT SLI, 6GB 1000Mhz 2.1v DDR2 OCZ/kingston.
mounted on 780i
Pros: -works flawlessly on 780i motherboard. -lowered temps.(didn't measure the exact temps, but about 5-10c drop) -good airflow, and quiet.
Cons: -have to custom mount with twistie ties, or wire ties for the 7 series nvidia chipsets, a bit tricky, but not too difficult. -no cons of the product itself, it works flawlessly.
Overall Review: now i can actually overclock my system a bit more, and be less worried about frying something. spec: E8500 @4.03Ghz 1.29v, XFX 780i, 9600GT SLI, 6GB 1000Mhz DDR2 ocz/kingston. if you have any questions about the custom mounting for the 7 series nvidia chipset, you can contact me at [email protected].
