This is one of the better cases from this company
Pros: -Actually had readable/usable instructions included! -Airflow is exceptional on this case -The area where graphics and other cards attach to the case rear with screws is well thought out/designed. -The case controls are well placed and convenient to use. -MOST of the installation in this case is good/easy (see exception in Cons section) -Cable management features are above average on this case. -Case comes with an RBG controller built in...if you like that sort of thing
Cons: -Holes for side panel screws are punched out, and are not large enough to accomodate the screws. I had to drill out ALL through holes in order to get the screws to work/hold down the parts correctly. -The way the glass side fits/attaches is very odd, and has a single screw and a tension ball holding the glass in place. -The Cable management in this case could be laid out and executed better. -Comes with a built in RGB controller that requires an available SATA power plug from your power supply. -This Case comes with 1-120mm fan, and 1-140mm fan.... which is somewhat odd size (the 140mm). I would rather see multiple 120mm fans which move more air than a single 140mm fan. -The area for the power supply is VERY small and tight, particularly IF you use the included 3.5" hard drive mounts. If you install ANY 3.5" drives, there is simply not enough room for them and the power supply cables. I removed the HD carriers, and still had some difficulties fitting all the power supply cables.....and that was with a modular power supply!
Overall Review: -This is one of the better cases this company offers. I have had others cases from this company, and was very disappointed in all of them. I would have never purchased this particular case, had I not seen it in person before buying. So far I am very pleased with this case, although the overall build quality could use improvement, it reminds me very much of Cougar brand cases...... very good value for the money.
A Hassle to setup, below par preformance
Pros: Typical MSI board....I've used a number of different brands over the years, but have found that MSI usually makes building/using a better experience.....
Cons: Except for this one. I was midly excited when the new AMD cpu came out. I decided to go with a Micro build, and so far, compared to my MSI base Trinity build, have been really dissappointed. Yet to be able to make MSI LiveUpdate work with this board, VERY unstable until you get an updated BIOS installed, and just an average performer. I'm actually considering going back to the AMD trinity build....because it's faster, cleaner, and MUCH less hassle.
Overall Review: My dislikes/issue may be from "early adoption" but I'm yet to see any reason to leave my old board. I built this system looking forward to a faster/smoother experience....and got neither. If your computer run fine....wait until this platform matures a while....right now it's just not ready for prime time.
Functionally a Great Power supply... with Cables that will not fit!
Pros: -Corsair offers great functioning power supplies....but there are ISSUES. READ CONS
Cons: - QUALITY CONTROL! Not on the power supply itself, but with the modular cables. There were 3 of the included modular cables (all were SATA cables) that I could not use because the ends that attach to the power supply would not fit..... as in the molded connectors were so misshapen (looks like the mold was messed up and they either didn't catch it, or let it slide) they will not fit into the power supply sockets. Luckily I had cables from another/older corsair power supply (same model) that would fit/work with this one. -As I looked over/compared the older power supply with the new one, I noticed the older Corsair power supply was far better in terms of fit and finish/Build Quality then the new one. It appears that Corsair has not only raised prices, but lowered its quality build standards. For many years I have purchased only Corsair or SeaSonic power supplies because of the function and overall build quality compared to others.... and I find myself having to rethink that.
Overall Review: -Good functioning power supply, HOWEVER, it is totally unacceptable to send out a product with parts that won't even fit/work as intended . That takes this power supply from 5 eggs to 1! I don't have the time or inclination to go back and forth with a company for a return/replacement on something that should have been right...out of the box. That's what reviews are for.
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IS AS ADVERTISED! (READ UPDATE!)
Pros: -The lights are pretty????
Cons: -Everything is OFF on this case.... screws/mounts for motherboard cause the motherboard to sit in a position that makes everything else OFF..... alignment of GPU and/or any other PCI/PCIE cards. -Not enough space to fit the advertised 240mm radiator in the top. The radiator fan hit against the RAM and keeps the radiator from fitting.....unless of course you want to trip the heat spreaders on your RAM (I did). -Front cover was poorly thought out/designed.....IF you put 120mm fans in the front (and why wouldn't you?) the wires for the front panel and the LEDs MUST BE TIED/TAPED DOWN TO KEEP THEM FROM JAMMING THE FANS! -COOLING: NOT! This case is FAR WORSE at providing cooling than my previous InWin case! Same MB, same CPU, same arctic AIO/240mm cooler.... and now the CPU runs at 65C IDLE! (with my old case and everything the same, Idel temp was 36-38C.) -The "Magnetic Dust Covers" cause air flow restriction..... causing the system to run much hotter with them, than without. -
Overall Review: UPDATE: Case is even worse than I thought! Take a look at the images and see the one of temps/loads...... I have ALL the fans running at full speed, and my Ryzen 5800X is running at 71C!! TOTALLY unacceptable, considering my old case, with the same everything (minus the CPU/MB fan on this case) kept the cpu in the low 50s under that same load! The "T" flow air pattern is totally bunk!! I simply have to purchase ANOTHER case now.... This thing is a total waste!! Overall: DON'T BUY THIS CASE! NOTHING works as advertised, and the build quality can only be described as HORRIBLE. PCI/PCIE cards misalign because motherboards sits "off" due to the standoff positions being "off". It's just one thing causing issues with the next, and so on, and so on. Instruction booklet is sparse at best, VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS CASE. I would not recommend it, nor any other case this company sells.
Purchasing my second one..... Flat Out, Best Mid Tower Case for the money
Pros: -I purchased this same case approx. 2 years ago, and the build it still in use. Since then I have tried several over cases, but keep coming back to this one. -This case is simply the best bang for the buck in a mid tower case. -The top "hot swap" connections for either 2.5 or 3.5" drives is a feature that I never knew I needed so much....until I experienced it.
Cons: To date the only cons I can find with this case are the "press fit" rubber feet, that pop off fairly easily, and the "single rail" system is used when mounting add-on cards (in the rear/with screws) just kinda annoying.
Overall Review: -I have read other reviews of people complaining about this case being "noisy" because it is so "open" DUH! You can have good cooling/air flow, and of course it's going to be slightly noisier..... or you can have super quiet (which means less air flow) and overheat your rig. -In the "Pros" section I mentioned I'd tried a number of other cases, many of them much "higher end" than this one.....and by comparison was sorely disappointed. When you purchase a case that costs 4-5X as much as this one, and compare, you really realize just what a gem this case really is!
Decent Chair....with some caveats.. follow up review, down to 1 egg! (see Other)
Pros: -OUTSTANDING packaging. Entire thing was in a heavy duty box, with foam packing material...everything arrived in perfect condition. -Seat and back are well sized for larger people.... I'm 6'3"/220lbs and the seat is a good depth, which supports my legs just shy of the knees. -Base is actually metal! Should hold up well. -Fairly simple to assemble (see cons) -Lumbar and neck supports are a nice feature, and because they attach via elastic straps, are adjustable (up/down) -Pretty simple to assemble... self explanatory
Cons: -When I ordered this chair, it was suppose to include a "free gift".... a Cougar mouse...... never got it. -Threaded inserts in the chair I received had dried glue/residue in them....and the bolts would not thread in until I cleaned out the threads....a real pain in the rear. -This chair sits VERY low....even though the rest of it is sized for larger/taller individuals, even with the height adjustment all the way up....my knees were still kinked. I took the chair off the mount, and put two pieces of 2x4 between the seat and the mount.....to raise the height.... I had to go to the local Ace Hardware and buy 4 M8 x 1.25 X 3 3/4" long bolts, but afterward, the chair is just the right height with the cylinder all the way down. -The arms..... while it's nice to have all the different adjustments, NOTHING locks in place. The arms move with arm pressure fore/aft, and rotate.....and the arms just seem like a cheap after thought. Doesn't make any sense that the rest of the chair is so nice, and the arms are cheap/cheesy. -Zipper tab was missing on the lumbar support/pillow....not a big deal, but it should be there.
Overall Review: UPDATE 3 Jan 18: I've been using this chair for a couple of weeks now, and problems are starting to pop up. The rotation of the arm rests has become so loose that the arms rotate any time they are touched! Loose and floppy. I've also had one of the wheels break, forcing me to purchase/replace one of the wheels.... pretty poor for a chair that's only been used a couple of weeks! Finally, there's a lot of popping/cracking when I sit in the chair and/or recline...... after checking, there is a tiny crack forming in the steel base that fits into onto the cylinder..... Shortly it's going to require welding to repair...... the metal is tool light gauge, and the weld is very poor quality! This chair is rated for 264lbs..... I weigh 200lbs, and it's failing! For $250 this is one lousy chair! -Overall I like this chair, because of the seat depth, and the back height. -Don't expect a "cushy" chair....the foam is fairly thin, and somewhat stiff. I'm sure eventually I will add a high back chair cushion to it. -This chair has a lever on the right side that reclines/locks the back.... the mechanism seems very rough, with a good amount of "slop" in the lock points. -In the end, this was a good purchase.....especially when I saw it at another well known online retailer for over $600! - The reason for 3 eggs? Because the cons out number the pros, and if this chair is selling elsewhere for $600+, I would expect it to be higher quality and better QC performed prior to shipping.
