Most Favorable Review

Well its still up and running! Hurray!!

MSI 790GX-G65 AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI 790GX-G65 AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: This one worked!!! WOOT!(see cons) Well this one worked right out of the box. recognized my AMD 945 right away and also set my ram to the right speeds/volts without any adjustments. Onboard sound card is a nice touch. Not really sure about the vid though since I got a combo with a 4890. Seems to be a great board while its working. Newegg RMA is great, great turnaround and all.(although I hate paying for return shipping, its still better than sending it to the product company cause it would take at least twice as long that way)

Cons: First one was DOA I am only subtracting one egg since this one is grand. I usually wouldn't since this one worked out great but it seems that of the last 15 or so reviews, at least half have had the same problem as me. So I am glad that the factory workers that were playing kick box with our products are finally done and now I have a working MoBo.

Overall Review: Well its been running for about 24-30hrs on and off so I think I have a pretty stable one. Also I have thrown a few of the stress tests at my CPU/GPU/RAM and ran Prime95 on torture for about 6.5 hours till I wanted to use the comp again. All in all, pretty good MoBo with AM3 and DDR3. I especially like the colors, it definitely contrasts my case ;)

Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT25664BA1339

Pros: Ran with no issues, will buy some more for a total of 8 gigs if the price drops again soon.

Cons: Ugly, but I don't care since its hiding in a case. Other than that....none. It wasn't buy 4gb get 4gb free......bummer, I wish I had 8gb.

Overall Review: Great ram and my MoBo recognized the stock speeds right away. As for the guy that has problems with his operating system saying that he only has 3.25 gb.....try running a 64 bit system instead of 32(x86) and I guarantee that should relieve you of you problem as 3.25gb is all that a 32 bit operating system is able to use.

Snazy

OKGEAR 18" SATA 6 Gbps Cable, Straight to Right Angle W/Metal Latch, UV Green, Backward Compatible with 3 Gbps and 1.5 Gbps
OKGEAR 18" SATA 6 Gbps Cable, Straight to Right Angle W/Metal Latch, UV Green, Backward Compatible with 3 Gbps and 1.5 Gbps

Pros: Its pretty

Cons: It should be made of fiber optics so that the color could change or something. But really its just a cable that I will never see and I don't think you can really screw up a cable.

OKGEAR GC18AUBM12 1.5 ft. (18 in.) SATA 3.0 Cable with Metal Latch, Straight to Right Angle, UV Blue
OKGEAR GC18AUBM12 1.5 ft. (18 in.) SATA 3.0 Cable with Metal Latch, Straight to Right Angle, UV Blue

Pros: Cool colors and the cable worked

Cons: None, its just a cable. I'm really not sure how you could screw it up.

Overall Review: Looks pretty nifty. I need this because I bought a few OEM products that didn't come with cables. Although I'm not really sure if I really should have bought ones with a 90 degree turn in them on one end but oh well it wasn't expensive or anything so its not hard to replace in the future if I need to.

Ummm....

HIS Gift - Stormrise Game Coupon Bundle
HIS Gift - Stormrise Game Coupon Bundle

Pros: Come on, its a free game!!!

Cons: Lol I didn't actually download and play it.

Overall Review: I don't like RTS games at all, so I gave this away to my friend and haven't asked him about it yet. Just thought that someone had to give a free product 5 eggs, I mean its better than nothing.

Careful!!

HIS Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card H489F1GP
HIS Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card H489F1GP

Pros: Wow, Great card and accompanies my 1080p monitor veeerrryyy well. I don't know what else to say that everyone else hasn't mentioned. Most of the stats for fps in games seem pretty accurate. It does overclock easily and actually has an auto overclock which I used for a day but just didn't see the point since this card is already overkill for just about everything except the few games that I don't have.

Cons: Yikes, It requires 1 6pin and 1 8pin, NOT 2 6pin although it does come with adapters. Luckily my PSU just happened to have one so there was no need for the adapter. It does run warm like everyone says but I haven't seen anything negative from it and GPU's are meant to run pretty warm anyways. It spits out hot air instead of cold air and its summer. Now when its winter I will enjoy this but currently its not the best situation but thats ok its worth it.

Overall Review: Got this thing at a really good price along with some other things in a combo deal and don't regret it yet. If you are worried about the heat of this thing, it not hard to turn up the fan when you need to. Its really only like 3 clicks of the mouse to just enable ATI overdrive. Great card that will help keep my house warm in the winter.(dont worry that a bit over exaggerated)
