Added new life to an old EP45-Ud3P

GIGABYTE Radeon RX 570 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 ATX Video Card GV-RX570GAMING-4GD REV2.0
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 570 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 ATX Video Card GV-RX570GAMING-4GD REV2.0

Pros: Easy to install. This is my 3rd Gigabyte video card, 2nd AMD, and 1 Nvidia. All have worked flawlessly.

Cons: No complaints here.

Overall Review: Working flawlessly in an old 14 year old Gigabyte motherboard, PCI-E 2.0 slot. I do not game, so those that do, look to other reviews. Additionally, since Abit went out of business several years ago, I purchased a Gigabyte MB, then video cards, for me Gigabyte has performed excellently with all my purchases. I highly recommend this card card, remember I do not game though.

Most Critical Review

Edit of prior review.

ASUS VZ279HE 27" Full HD 1920 x 1080 VGA, 2 x HDMI Asus Eye Care with Ultra Low-Blue Light & Flicker Free Ultra Slim Bezel LED Backlit IPS Monitor
ASUS VZ279HE 27" Full HD 1920 x 1080 VGA, 2 x HDMI Asus Eye Care with Ultra Low-Blue Light & Flicker Free Ultra Slim Bezel LED Backlit IPS Monitor

Pros: Quality built. Very light weight. Once in upright position, base seems sturdier than my previous Asus model.

Cons: Is a bit blurry. It took a bit of effort/force to move the monitor into an upright position. During that process thought I might break it. Initially was unaware of that requirement/capability. In the future, do not think I will need to pivot this monitor forward or backward. IMO a needless option. Prior Asus VS247 model, that this one replaced, did not do that.

Overall Review: So far, very ambivilent about this monitor and purchase. That said, prior was 24" now 27", might take a bit of getting use to the added real estate visually. Retrain the brain! Hopefully this one will be as good as the VS247. The VS247 after 8 years is still going strong, good job on that one Asus!

Great price for 5 licenses.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 3.0 - 5 Device / 1 Year [Key Card]
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 3.0 - 5 Device / 1 Year [Key Card]

Pros: Malwarebytes is my go to.

Cons: None. Other than, how did I end up owning enough devices that I require 5 licenses?

Overall Review: Next year will be looking for a similar deal. like this year. Keep'em coming Newegg and Malwarebytes, thank you.

It's Seasonic, its the BEST!!!

Seasonic PRIME Ultra 650W 80+ Titanium Power Supply, Full Modular, 135mm FDB Fan w/Hybrid Fan Control, ATX12V & EPS12V, Power On Self Tester, SSR-650TR
Seasonic PRIME Ultra 650W 80+ Titanium Power Supply, Full Modular, 135mm FDB Fan w/Hybrid Fan Control, ATX12V & EPS12V, Power On Self Tester, SSR-650TR

Pros: Quality, quality and more quality. This is my 3rd Seasonic PSU. Will be purchasing another PSU shortly. Same company, Seasonic, same line, except the 750W model for a different build.

Cons: None at all.

Overall Review: This the area of PC building you do not want to purchase lesser to save $$. For me I always buy more wattage than I will ever need. That way the PSU is just cruising along, sending clean and reliable current to my components. Seasonic delivers on that! I have an X-treme series 750 for about 8 years now, still going strong.

Solid Board

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Put this board together with a Q9650 and HIS 4670 used old Corsair memory from a prior build. It has been up and running since 12/31/09 and this is very solid. Not one problem or hiccup.

Cons: The only con is a design problem. I also purchased an Arctic Cooler Freezer Pro 7 to use as HSF. However, there is a transistor/capacitor that is too close to one of the holes to screw in the base of the Arctic Cooler. Currently using the retail Intel HSF. Temps are good since not attempting to OC.

Overall Review: I was an avid Abit user before this build. Built 6 using Abit boards. However, I did a lot of research before making this purchase. I could not be happier with the performance. Having stated that I should mention I would be ecstatic if I could of used the Arctic Cooler Freezer Pro I bought.

Great Memory

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-6400C4
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-6400C4

Pros: I have used this memory in an Abit AW8D, Pentium D 935 for over 3 years now. Not one problem. Totally stable system. All these parts were purchased through Newegg.

Cons: None!
