Good All in One board for HTPC/XBMC

Pros: -Great all in one Mini ITX board. Just add Ram,Case and HD. -Works great with 8GB Kingston KHX1600c9D3B1K2/8GX. -Most boards in the price range do not have USB3 and a spdif header, I modified a SPDIF interface from an older ASUS MB and it works great. (read the pdf manual) -Performs pretty well with Windows 8, plays HD video well.
Cons: -The fan on the CPU is tiny, therefore can be a little noisey under CPU load when fan increases rpm -this board is called "deluxe" but theres no spdif interface. You have to source your own. -The quick start poster is not that great, you need to go online for a proper pdf manual.
Overall Review: By recycling parts I was able to build a modern system for the cost of a single purpose mediaplayer! If you don't want to use Windows there is a special OpenElec distro for these AMD Fusion based systems. This board is so new you need to use the included driver CD for Windows. If you don't, the onboard NIC and USB3 ports won't work. Also if you try to start this up without a boot device the BIOS will not report any error, it will just present a blank blue screen.
the remote is for your computer not the tv

Pros: The remote controls your PC. Its plug and play in windows or Linux xbmc.
Cons: Not crazy about the color but the button layout is better than the smaller black models
Overall Review: I posted this review since there was another poster who can't figure out why this doesn't work with his TV. Its not for the TV, its for the computer. While you can teach the remote to simple things like power on/off and volume on your tv that is not the main purpose. If you want a great programmable remote look at the Logitech harmony series.
