Successful 16GB Build

Pros: Nice quality RAM, came up on the first POST as per the SPD except for the last number (20 instead of 18) but changed it in the BIOS.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Put this on a Gigabyte EP43T-UD3L MB with a Q6700 CPU to use as a modest VM machine. Running Virtual Box on Win 7 Home Premium and have PinguyOS, PC BSD and Ubuntu Studio all installed and running. Upped my FSB to 300 Mhz which clocked the RAM at 1210 and the CPU at 3 Ghz and showed no Memtest errors but got a few BSODs once I started in on the VM stuff so I set it back to factory specs and its been rock solid ever since. Overall very happy. The RAM runs solid and never gets even warm to the touch.
Very Pleased!

Pros: After doing my homework and getting into the Router mentality had very little problem setting this up. My LAN and WAN are running in some cases twice as fast as before with an old Linksys unit. Never got over 2 MB download speeds before even though it was a torrent. The quick start guide is good enough to get you going and the pdf should keep you going but it's not as simple as a plug and play PCI card. I love the 4 gigbit ports even though I use two other gig switches in my wired home (no wireless allowed here!).
Cons: None!
Overall Review: Unless you're a network / router guru you have to bone up and work a little to implement this baby but it pays you back nicely. I think the marketing and resultant reviews reflect a lot of "business expectations" from this product but for my wired home network with server and mutiple PCs this was a great addition. I do business passthorugh VPN with a Cisco client SW for e-mail and tech support functions including the phone with Opti Client and absolutely no problems even with other PCs on the internet at the same time. In my case I was'nt going to spend 2 or 3K on a real business router just to get to a full next level and I don't have a static IP from the ISP so when you look at all the features this unit has for a little of $100 I would say this is a great Cisco product!
Mushkin Quality!

Pros: Absolutely no problem mounting (converter tray included), loading Windows and working as it should. Mushkin as always I believe gives you the least problems and usually just works.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Replaced a Vertex 30GB drive due to the size the W7 needs on an ICH10 controller. Don't get much over 200 MB reads as the Vertex due to the driver from Windows and the non-RAID controller but that's OK.
Great Product

Pros: Unit works well, is fast (burned a 1.45GB iso in about 1 min with ISO Recorder) and reasonably quiet.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Had my first bad Lite On OEM drive; BIOS and Windows recognized it but would never read a disc, 5 days later I still haven't gotten a warranty response from Lite On! NewEgg got it here in 24 hrs after I placed the order!!
Good solution!

Pros: Plenty of speed and capacityy for the price
Cons: None!
Overall Review: Used on a Vantec SATA HD PCI controller to update my P3/D815 MB which I recently recapped. With the dual processors and 32MB cache I have all the speed I can wring out of the box. Cleaned up and reimaged my old W2K and added Ubuntu 10.10 to make a dual boot system. With a new Seasonic PS the system runs better than new.
Reasonably Good Solution

Pros: Good upgrade from an MX440 64MB AGPx4 card. The DVI connector provides a better image quality. Well supported in LINUX Ubuntu with special Nvidia drivers loaded in addition to the OS.
Cons: My card did not come with a fan and the Heatsink gets pretty warm so I'm going to install the Zalmna HP VGA cooler
Overall Review: The card was inexpensive but not so with the cost of the cooler. The card should keep the video running well for as long as I want to use the box. After recapping my Intel 815 MB with a 1.2Ghz P3/512MB RAM, revived my W2K Distro, transferred to a new SATA HD on a Vantec SATA PCI Ctrlr and added Ubuntu 10.10. Runs like a new machine.
