One word, "WOW"!
Pros: This thing is MASSIVE! No stuck pixels!!! bright, crisp flawless display. Words can not explain other than I love it! Primarily used on my PC (HDMI) but tested my PS3 on it with the 2nd HDMI input and it auto-detects and scales to 1080p perfectly! It also seems very light for its size, specs say 16lbs but it feels much lighter.
Cons: Would've liked to have a DVI input in addition to or instead of a D-SUB (VGA) but no big deal there. Have not tested the VGA input so I can't comment on that. Also, the speakers are very wimpy, but that don't bother me as I have a good speaker system already. See other thoughts.
Overall Review: I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a (much) bigger monitor. $300 free shipping was a hard deal to beat on a monitor of this size. Took the place of my aging 20" widescreen that is now my secondary display. Only had it about a week so I'll update if its lifespan turns out to be a short one. Speakers: The speakers are a joke, but I've managed to tune them with my external speaker system and they seem to put out a decent sound of mid-tones that blend in near-perfect with my main speakers.
Pros: None, was DOA. Things happen so I'll try another, RMA in progress.
Cons: DOA, tried it in 3 different external applications and the drive would only click. RMA and had to pay return shipping.
Overall Review: 1st DOA from Newegg in the many years and many $ spent with them. Going to try another, so we'll see. Don't mean to sound as if its neweggs fault, cause I know its not. these things are bound to happen at some point.
One Bad MamaJama Chromebook
Pros: Bought in 2017, still using it today. has not let me down and still fast as lightening. Still receiving google updates, runs like a top and still 10+ hrs battery life. I am impressed and would definitely buy again!
Cons: No cons, everything is as expected.
Overall Review: I like Acer products. have had many of them and very few issues, well at least non worth complaining about.
Great little beast of a PC
Pros: Awesome little computer (if you're not a gamer, albeit plays Minecraft very smoothly). Very snappy on everyday PC use and performs well.
Cons: Does not like hidden WiFi SSID's. Will connect initially, but is reluctant to connect from then on. Also gets pretty hot but hasn't yet given any problems as far as temperature. Only 32GB of SSD space and 2GB ram. Currently is having trouble with the latest major update for WinX, keep getting errors saying not enough HD space yet I have only the bare essentials installed. Even uninstalled Minecraft to allow the update with no avail. This is what cohered me to deduct an egg.
Overall Review: Overall I like it. other than the cons its a nice purchase for the price. I will recommend but if major updates to win 10 continue to fail, I'd be cautious. May the force be with you...
Pros: Easy to setup/use. After its firmware update, everything works as expected as I tested every aspect of the device and was able to access its web UI out of the box without the use of its software. Transfer speeds are 4x faster than my old DNS321 which I've had for years, I only hope it lasts as long.
Cons: Unlike the DNS321, you have to screw the drives to their respective trays which won't make for an easy drive swap. Also, there is no drive or network activity lights. I share my media library with myself and some friends outside and it would be nice to know if/when its being accessed. How well the unit works, its not worthy of any egg deductions. I didn't get mine from Newegg.
Overall Review: My old 321 sustained 10-15MB/s if I was lucky with jumbo frames. This unit gets upwards of 50MB/s+. A huge upgrade for roughly the same price I paid for the 321 back in 2010.
Pros: Very nice budget PC. Works well and updated to Win 10 pro flawlessly.
Cons: Came with only 2GB ram, see other thoughts...
Overall Review: Fortunately, I had an extra 4GB ram laying around giving it 6GB total. Also put in a Radeon 250X LP and with a little HSF mod, it plays most games on med-high without issue.
