Works if you know how to set it up

LINKSYS WRE54G Wireless-G Range Extender
LINKSYS WRE54G Wireless-G Range Extender

Pros: Works well, really boots wireless signal easily on a floor of a large home. I have been using these for years.

Cons: To set it up, you need to log into the interface via wireless or Ethernet. Forget the cd. You need to set whichever connection you are using to a static IP to access this product's interface. 192.168.1.50 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.240 then you have to change all the settings to match EXACTLY the wireless security settings of your router. If this is not done it will not work, it will not boost the signal if it can't connect to your wireless network. If you are using more than one of these you must change the IP address of every unit, each one must be different. If the link light is red instead of blue that means it is not connected to your router. Nothing has to be configured in your router unless you have MAC filters enabled. This unit simply connects to your router like any wireless device, but it boots the signal strength.

Overall Review: Difficult for the average user to setup. I have many clients that use these, thinking simply plugging it into a wall will make it boost your signal. This is correct if your network is unlocked, however as stated above you must configure it to connect to a locked network. Only has up to WPA security does not have WPA2.

ThinkPad T Series 14.1" 2.00GHz 2GB Memory Windows 7 Professional T61
ThinkPad T Series 14.1" 2.00GHz 2GB Memory Windows 7 Professional T61

Pros: Lenovo makes a good laptop.

Cons: Batteries are about as old as machines, all ten units I bought had dead batteries. No docking stations, had to blow out dusty heat-sinks. Horrible excuse for a refurbished machine.
