Update on blinking/flickering issues.
Pros: Lots of viewing room. Nice bright display. No dead pixels.
Cons: Earlier I wrote a review remarking on scanning issues, where the screen had horizontal lines that were blinking, flickering, moving up and down. (Kind of like the effect you get when you record a CRT TV with a camcorder) That seems to have just disappeared, and everything is working fine now. If anything changes, I'll update the review.
Overall Review: No dvi input, which is a drawback if I ever get a new video card. However, right now I'm using onboard geforce6100 graphics so I decided to save some money and buy this analog display.
Pros: Lots of viewing space, bright, easy to setup. No dead or stuck pixels.
Cons: After two weeks of using this monitor I am experience backlight issues. The screen flickers and blinks. This is most noticeable on solid color backgrounds. When I set the desktop background to solid black I see about 4 horizontal lines that flicker, blink. This does not seem to be a dead pixel issue as nothing seems to be dead or stuck. The colors change without problem, but the blinking, flickering persists no matter what. It seems I will have to RMA this with Samsung.
Not Really For Small Ears
Pros: Once you get a good seal the sound is pretty good. Not nearly as good as Sennheiser 280 Pros, but pretty decent for 20 bucks.
Cons: I bought these because I read they were good for small ears. They fit into my ear canals just fine but the earphone frame (The gold part) is way too thick and presses against the cartilage of my ear. It's too painful to wear these for me for longer than 10-15 minutes.
Overall Review: Pretty good sound for 20 bucks. Too bad they didn't fit me.
Pros: Ok, so this is a Sempron 64 chip. It's not going to perform at cutting edge levels nor is it going to be an overclocking workhorse. What this chip can do, is handle all of an average user's computing needs. In fact, while not blazing, it is much faster than one would expect. Browsing, email, word processing are all fast. I can convert lossless shn's or flacs to mp3s quickly. It works great for watching videos (using onboard geforce6100 graphics) and it plays CIV4 smoothly. I've used photoshop with this, but haven't run the rest of Adobe's suite yet. Pretty much, if you're in the 90percent of computer users that is not going to play Halo 2 at the fastest frames per second, and or use 5 of Adobe's programs simultaneously, this computer chip will do the job for you, and at a budget.
Cons: Wish it had a higher cache, but its worked great for me so far.
Overall Review: Would definitely buy this again. However, I'm curious as to when Newegg will sell the socket 939 semprons, as the 754 do not allow for dual ram settings.
