Overall Review: solid RAM... I had some problems with my mobo and another brand 3800+ am2 B105TAR tforce6100 mobo

Pros: I installed windows on it.

Cons: Using SATA3, my fastest read and write has been 370MB/s and 160MB/s. I have not noticed any real world performance (other than benchmarks). I expected an almost instant loading of games/programs, but it is marginally faster. Very dissapointed :(

Pros: you cannot upgrade the processor on these computers. the mobile A series processors are BGA mounted which means they are literally soldered in place. I consider this both a pro and a con

Cons: has anyone ever looked at the economics of this. I mean, this thing is sold out... I don't understand. ok, lets look at the math. 5Watts * 8 hours/day * 365 days = 14.6kWH. I'd say average price per KWH in US is about 12cents. therefore, you would have to use this product EVERY day for the next 23 years to recoup your investment (without even considering the time value of money) Also, for you "Greenies" out there. you should investigate the environmental impacts associate with *PRODUCTION* of solar cells. so, to sum up, you don't come ahead financially, AND, these cells are bad for the environment. it's a lose, lose for the consumer, but someone is making a killing off of your lack of research.

Pros: great product. overclocked to 3360Mhz on stock volts. I'll go higher when I have some time to really test it out. ran prime95 on stock hsf for a little over 1 hour and the highest temp was 58C.

Cons: the stock hsf was a little loud, but I'm ok with that as long as it keeps the proc cool

Overall Review: it's pretty much on par *mostly* with an entry level core i7. you can't beat this processor if you already have an am2+/am3 motherboard that support it through a bios update, but it's a toss up between the two if you're building a new sys from the ground up. I for one support AMD. AMD F T W!
