Great Monitor

Hanns-G 23.6" LCD Monitor 5 ms D-Sub, HDMI HH-241HPB
Hanns-G 23.6" LCD Monitor 5 ms D-Sub, HDMI HH-241HPB

Pros: Great display with a consistency end-to-end. Some have complained of the brightness, but I really appreciate seeing white whites, which I've never experienced on any CRT monitors I've had. Colors are vibrant and rich, and anti-aliasing great (although I probably owe most of that to my video card.) This is an excellent monitor for this price range.

Cons: Well, when there is a box for "cons", most feel they need to say something which may give the reader a distorted outlook. I can say the speakers are lousy. (Have you seen a monitor with good sounding speakers? I haven't!) The menu is a little clutsy, but not as bad as many I have seen, and I haven't had any need to touch it since I first set the monitor up.

Overall Review: Great monitor. Great price.

Windows 7 Display Sucks!

Hanns-G 23.6" LCD Monitor 5 ms D-Sub, HDMI HH-241HPB
Hanns-G 23.6" LCD Monitor 5 ms D-Sub, HDMI HH-241HPB

Pros: Nice casing

Cons: Monitor can't decide whether white is white or cream colored. Was very bright white when I first bought it. Seems to alter between degrees of cream-color after a month or so. I use this monitor in VGA mode, hooked up to a good-quality, rack-mount KVM. I have 7 other computers. The monitor does a fair job on 6 of these computers, running WindowsXP. When I added a new computer and installed Win 7, the display is fuzzy (at any resolution). Blaming my video card, I replaced it with a $250 Radeon. There was no improvement in quality. I then blamed Microsoft, but figured I might get some good advice from Hanns-G technical support. I'll spare the details. 4 or 5 e-mails back and forth telling me it is the fault of the video card or Microsoft or me. Obviously, if this were totally an operating system fault, there would be 40 million people screaming. I'm buying another monitor. It wont be a Hanns-G. if you have a problem, don't expect any intelligence coming out of tech support

Overall Review: I don't see similar complaints here, so perhaps there is something weird going on. However, I have plugged a major-brand 17" LCD, a 17" CRT, and a low-priced 28" LCD monitor into this same computer and not had the bad results I am having with the Hanns-G.

Great Little Unit

OCZ Diesel 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive OCZUSBDSL4G
OCZ Diesel 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive OCZUSBDSL4G

Pros: This is a great little drive - compact, works flawlessly, and has a bright led, which is really convenient for 2 reasons - I never forget it is plugged into the computer and I always know it is working.

Cons: None
