The Model To Get For AMD Boards

Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme Universal CPU Cooler 120mm Magnetic Fluid Dynamic LED Fan and Fan Controller/Heatsink Rev.1 with 1156 Brackets, free TX-3 Thermal Paste Included Inside
Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme Universal CPU Cooler 120mm Magnetic Fluid Dynamic LED Fan and Fan Controller/Heatsink Rev.1 with 1156 Brackets, free TX-3 Thermal Paste Included Inside

Pros: Seems to cool my 955BE well. I haven't delved into the realm of overclocking just yet, but my temps at stock are much better. Idle temps dropped about 7C from the stock cooler. I don't have an accurate figure for the load temps since I never ran a stress test on the stock cooler, but the max temp recorded in OCCT was 11C lower than the highest temp I saw on the stock cooler. Found it easy to install. This was the first aftermarket heatsink I installed, and it gave me no trouble apart from nearly stripping one of the tiny screws. Looks pretty cool I guess, for those that have windowed side panels.

Cons: The included thermal paste is extremely thick. Like thicker than Play-Dough. I actually gave up trying to spread it and put a few small chunks on my CPU and just installed the cooler and let it spread itself, which seemed to work. Got lucky I guess, I planned to buy myself some IC7 or something if my temps were bad. Screws you use when changing out the plate on the heatsink for AMD boards are really small. This probably is probably only an issue for a handful of people though. I don't think I own a screwdriver that properly fits it, which is why I nearly stripped one of the screws as mentioned above.

Overall Review: If you have an AM2/AM2+/AM3 board, this is the model of the cooler to buy since it can be mounted to blow air both horizontally or vertically. The other model can only blow air vertically on AMD boards, and doesn't have brackets for i5 processors. Also, I'm not sure if this is a con or not, since I'm pretty new to this, but my temps are a few degrees C higher than they were after I first installed this cooler. I'd imagine this is either due to higher ambient temps or user error during installation or application of the TIM. And obviously, it's big. Fits just fine in my Antec 300 though.

PS3 Replacement Hard Drive

Western Digital Scorpio Black WD2500BEKT 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital Scorpio Black WD2500BEKT 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Bought this to replace the 40GB hard drive in my PS3. Haven't had any problems with it, installation was easy.

Cons: It's not really much of a con regarding this particular product, but the PS3 doesn't seem to make much use of the 7200 RPM speed. I've noticed a slight difference in performance over the stock 5400 RPM drive, but that's more than likely due to the larger cache size. When I do notice faster loading times it's only a difference of a couple of seconds here and there.

Overall Review: If you're looking for a PS3 replacement hard drive, you may want to go with a 5400 RPM drive since they cost a little less, and there isn't much difference in terms of performance. There may be a firmware update later that changes this though.
