Pros: Slick combination to use up only one drive bay. Fast transfers from memory cards.
Cons: Floppy drive. Drive door broken on arrival. (Big deal, right? None of the card reader slots have doors. Still it's supposed to be there and working.) 3.5" disks read intermittently. Short flat ribbon cable for floppy drive. USB header cable not that long either - (it is hard wired into the drive not a socket on the back of the drive.)
Overall Review: Short cables could be an issue depending on your case and MOBO layout. (Might as well plan on getting a round FDD cable of the proper length.) Card reader is quick, and floppy drive is there for those times when things have degraded to the point of needing to use a bootable floppy. Trouble is will it work when I need it most? I'm not ready to chunk this yet - because of the card reader.
