Pros: Motherboard works fine with Ryzen 9 390X. On seller websites it says the board has a max of 128GB RAM, and that is why I bought it. The manual when I bought it, and on ASRocks website manual says there is a max of 64GB. I wrote ASRock and they showed me a list of compatible memory, and it showed one 32GB module, but no one was selling it. Last week Corsair Vengeance came out with a new 32GB module and said it was compatible with the new 570 motherboards. I bought two pieces and they work great. I'm going to buy two more. Has to go into A2, B2 slots on the MB. It didn't work with them in the A1, B1 slots and 2 sticks of my old 16GB of memory in A2, B2. Once I switched I now have 96GB of total RAM. My DAW sounds much cleaner with this MB and CPU. The thread activity when playing back, looks like my old MB when my music was stopped and the sound engine idling.
Cons: The only con I found, was that there is only one USB2, connector on the top of the motherboard. So you either have to use the USB2 connectors on the front of the case, or with a extra USB back plate that goes into the slot. There were plenty of USB connectors in the back of the motherboard for my need, so I removed the extra USB2 backplate from the card slots and used the USB2 connector for the front of the case along with the USB3 connectors.
Pros: IPS screen, 3D glasses included. Very bright screen, and colors. I bought it to replace a 3D LG 2343P monitor that I found out had a faulty HDMI input that I didn't use until I moved it to another computer 2 years after I bought it.
Cons: Shipped from Korea, but time here to the East coast was fast. Would have gotten here earlier if plane didn't break down in Alaska. Great tracking though. Too bad New Egg doesn't keep these in a US factory, they would probably sell more. One step changing the menu from Korean to English is a slight pain.
Overall Review: When I have the money in my pocket I will by another.
Pros: Running a R9-290x 8GB video card, 32 BG of board memory, 7- 120mm fans, 5 on the case, 2 on the CPU cooler in push pull config, 4 LED lit. 5 HD's and 2 Blu Ray burners. Nothing overclocked, and it works like a charm. Always loved the modular cable supplies, because you only have to connect what cables you need. It's quiet too.
Cons: None really, except the mother board and the CPU power cables are not detachable, and should not be. They are a standard connection in all computers.
Overall Review: If I ever need another PS for my other computers, I will buy this one for them. Hope it's no time soon though.
Pros: The price and 8 GB of memory. Fast GPU.
Cons: Had to upgrade motherboard. The R9-290 series does not work well with AMD 700 and 800 series motherboard north chipsets. No problems with the 900 series. The card is also real long almost 12" long (305mm), you have to make sure it doesn't hit your hard drive or optical disc frame. I had to swap computer cases. The depth of you computer case is not the only factor, it is the arrangement and placement of what's behind the PCIe sockets you are using. The card also takes up 3 slots sizes with the fans. So keep that in mind too.
Overall Review: I don't play games, and I'm using dual monitors. So far I haven't seen much difference with the 270X with 2 GB, that I could notice for the extra money. Maybe you can see it playing games. My main use is graphic animation. This card made the 290X and 8GB affordable for me.
Pros: Price, and it matched my DDR3 1600 of the 16GB memory I had installed.
Cons: None, except I believe desktop memory prices are higher than what they could be.
Overall Review: Would by without a blink for another computer.
Pros: Bought 8 LB Blu-Ray burners since 2008, only had a problem with one, that I replaced one dated 10/2012 with this one. It's passed the 1 yr warranty, it had problems only burning DVD+R DL's after almost a year.
Cons: None, if you buy the right disc.
Overall Review: I thought I had a bad batch of normally reliable DL DVD+ disc, I usually burn 4 at a time, but I found out. after paying attention it was always the same burner error, and only when burning these type disc, not the Blu-Rays. Got the new burner on a Saturday at the P.O., and everything is back to normal. Price $70? You don't know, I paid $1000 for my first CD burner, and $300-$500 with my first DVD and Blu-Ray burners, I think? My first CD burner lasted 6 months, with more coasters, than success (maybe 10?), the replacement lasted 3 months (only 1x burners for CD's !! We've come a long way). Then DVD burners came out. These are the best burners I ever had. Great for M disc too, still waiting for M-Disc Blu-Rays???
Pros: Got on sale, and bought 2, one for son, He plugged his into his PS4 USB port and it was recognized. Not sure if he's getting 5.1 audio. But I get 5.1 audio to listen to my Blu-Ray disc on my PC USB with the included drivers . Love the way it sounds. Can adjust center, surround, front and sub woofer separately.
Cons: None, except 5.1 audio headphones are a little too expensive for my priorities.
Overall Review: If these were not on sale, I would not have bought them. Not really a headphone guy. I like electrostatic headphones, but won't pay that price either. Some things are not worth the money to me. But if you got it, got for it.
Pros: Just the price.
Cons: This card only wrote barely above Class 2. Yes it read at over class 10 speed. Used dual cards on Cam in backup mode. The Kingston played back poorly and hesitated also.
My other brand class 10, 16 GB card wrote @ class 10, and had no problem playing the video back.
Overall Review: Always check the flash cards with a read/write program, before you buy 1 or more of that brand. SDCH cards are known for exaggerating the write speeds.
Pros: Perfect burning a almost full 3 hr BR-R, at 8x on a 10x LG burner. Ink jet surface, not dull like the 4X version, very saturated colors. Verification and surface scan, perfect. Tested on a old Panasonic player for 3 hours, no drop outs, skips, or stutters.
Cons: Not glossy, but colors print more vivid. Didn't realise how the Ritex 4x colors were dull, until I compared with same day printing. No cons, if prices stay $19 or lower.
Overall Review: Going to try burning at 10X if my LG 12x burners will let me.
Pros: If you are already getting over the air, digital signals; and need a recording device; have a fast computer. This works great. Quad CPU. I live in NYC, get about 38 channels.
Cons: Channel 2, (good signal) would not auto-detect; even with updated software. Had to enter, frequency of channel 2, manually. (Add a channel feature).
Overall Review: Tuner seems, more powerful than my TV's tuner. It picks up more channels. Used some extra cable, to place antenna near window, to get more channels. Win XP.
Only 1 or 2 stations, won't let you record. They are using something, to prevent it.
Pros: Didn't have to reload Windows XP. Booted right-up. Only had to add soundcard driver & Lan driver, from new MB CD. No problem with the PCI exp; Video card.
It found the driver, right away. Hasn't froze yet.
Cons: This Northbridge, even with this giant heatsink, feels alittle hot. But you can keep your finger on it. But, as long as it keeps working.
Overall Review: Replaced a GB motherboard. It kept freezing. That northbridge, even with the Giant heat sink; was too hot. Couldn't keep your finger on it. Surprised it worked at times. Going to stick with Asus, from now on.
Pros: Wanted a real orange case. To replace my old orange one; without USB plugs upfront. Like the color, and the led light, up front. Lots of space inside.
Cons: Only one optical 5.25" drive, space. Drive has to mounted vertical. Some DVD drives, make too much noise, with DVD placed vertical.
Overall Review: If you put alot of cases together; this one is different. You have to read the instructions.
Pros: 20 out of 20 perfect disc. @ 3.50 a disc, you can't beat the price. Disc ID Ritek. No skips, jumps, pixeling, Burned all disc, @ 4x; using LG burner. No returns, or complaints so far; so must be working, on all stand alone players. All disk; tested, good on mine.
Cons: Okay, Big space between spindle, and printable area. But for Inkjet Blu-Rays @ $3.50? I won't complain. You adjust the inner print area, so it doesn't print there.
Overall Review: Wish there was a D/L BR injet disk, for double the cost. A few months ago, you couldn't get a inkjet BR, under $17; without buying 100 of them.
Pros: The cost for a new, not a refurbished laptop. No problem. worked out the box. Fast delivery, as usual from NE.
Cons: Only gives the choice of Vista, OS. Wish it had XP. Some of my older programs wouldn't work, (not Vista compatiable). Ordered at same time another 1GB of ram, after seeing reviews.
Overall Review: About $20 more for 1GB of memory, not too bad. I basically wanted a laptop, to look at, and store my AVCHD videos, photos, charge my MP3 player, and burn on DVD/CD media internally, when I travel; and it does all that.
Pros: Works perfect in my SDHC Panasonic, camcorder. I seen at lower prices, but when you add on their shipping/handling cost, the dollar you save, isn't worth trusting someone other than Newegg, who always delivers. Long live Newegg!!!
Cons: Newegg, isn't pickup & in NYC.
Overall Review: Neweggs' shipping rates are the best; and no cost for handling.
It's a joke what others charge for shipping a 1 ounce item.!!
Pros: Great price, you need 2 Gigs with Vista.
Cons: Not as easy to me, as putting in desktop memory. Took me 2 tries.
Overall Review: If my computer had XP installed, wouldn't need 2 GB. But at that price; you be fooolish not to buy it. Too bad the laptop & memory aren't shipped from same place, same day arrival.
Pros: Great picture; anti-shake, the best. Low light performance is good, bright. No re-winding.
3CCD's, very small camera. 5.1 surround sound.
Cons: No viewfinder, hard finding cheaper battery. AVCHD editing has very little software choices now.
Overall Review: Starting to like the card, better than tapes. Glad I bought it, over the other 2 choices, I was looking at.
Pros: The picture is great, it has plenty of inputs, and each input has to be, and can adjusted seperately with the menu button.
Cons: None, sound is okay; better than my other TV's.
Overall Review: TV was dark initially; If you adjust the digital channels correctly, it doesnot affect, change the other input settings; you have to adjust them seperate, then they look great.
Pros: Great Price, can't beat it. Beautiful picture, I'm not at TV person; but I'll watch TV more now. Couldn't get digital channels at first, until I stuck the cheap rabbit ears out the window, Got 27 channels here in NYC. Avg price of a good 26" is around $700.Ordered Sunday night, it was here Wednesday.
Cons: I wish the stand could swivel up and down, I have it sory of high.
Overall Review: When I checked the internet, to see if there was DTV in NYC. I found out, that after 2009; there will be no more anaolog TV. Glad I got it. Non HDTV looks better also, no ghost with DTV signals, antenna doesn't have to be moved around. New antenna (amplified)coming Monday.
Newegg rocks, really rocked this time.
Pros: Easiest haetsink/cpu I've ever installed. My Athlon XP2400, took 4-8 hours rendering 1hr high quality DVD's. With this CPU, it takes only a hour, to render a hour DVD. Can't beat this.
Cons: None so far,
Overall Review: When I have enough xtra funds, or my other 2 (XP2800 and XP2400)computers are next.
Pros: Easy to install AMD 4600 X2, thought MB was dead; but these new MB's, you have to plug-in a square power connector next to the CPU also, or it won't boot. From old school, didn't read menu.
Cons: None so far, just calling Microsoft, everytime you upgrade something major.
Overall Review: I almost bought a new MB. thinking it was dead. Gigabyte, should make sure, oldtimers know about the extra square socket, on the MB.
Pros: Had no problem installing X2 4600 CPU. Easiest CPU to install in a long time.
Cons: I got the last one, newegg was out of stock, after order.(bad omen). MB would not boot with any of my memory, or changing mem slot. Last GB MB, I'll ever buy. Too bad I can't exchange brands, I would. Also, power plug
too close to heat sink, very little space.
Overall Review: I think the north bridge is defective.
Pros: No Problems, Replaced MB that wouldn't let me burn cd's or Dvd's. Drivers loaded quickly. Didn't have to format HD.
Cons: Socket A is coming to an end, but if. You have a fast CPU and your MB is bad. Replace it with this.
