Nice & Quiet

EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 512-P3-N871-AR
EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 512-P3-N871-AR

Pros: Extremely quiet card. A lot quieter than my previous card (7900GT). Sometimes I don't even think my computer is on because I'm used to hearing a fan blow all night. Somewhat easy to install. Did not notice a big difference because I play WoW and the old card could play everything on high at 60fps. I'll be buying Crysis and other first-person shooter to really test out this card.

Cons: Really big. Just barely fit in my case. Make sure you hear or see the PCI-e clip snap or else the card won't work or be detected. Requires lots of power. I have a 550 watt PSU with 12v rail. Also, I've been a NewEgg customer for several years and they are not what they used to be since they started using UPS as a shipping carrier. Packages come late and sometimes damaged. The UPS truck literally threw my package at my front door, while I was at home. Go back to using only FedEx. I'd rather pay $20 shipping with them than have free shipping with UPS from now on.

Overall Review: AMD 64 X2 4200+ @ 2.2GHz (I know, it's old, gonna replace it soon) 3GB PC2-5300 DDR2 memory eVGA NVidia 9800GTX 512MB video BFtech 550-watt PSU 2x 24" LCD DVI dual monitors

Good for the price

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000
Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000

Pros: Looks sleek, it's wireless, has 5-buttons

Cons: Reacts really slow. I don't know if it's because I'm used to my old mouse (Logitech MX518), but it just doesn't quite feel right while gaming. I can't be getting pwned because my mouse doesn't want to move fast enough! The scroll wheel moves and zooms way to much and fast.

Overall Review: For use at the office or just surfing the web, it's great. If you want to game, I'd suggest getting a mouse that has more dpi movement.

Very slow, horrible

WD My Book Home 320GB USB 2.0 / Firewire400 / eSATA 3.5" External Hard Drive WDH1CS3200N

Pros: Store data and whatever I need.

Cons: Has a built-in sleep mode that can be ridiculous. If not used after 5 minutes, it goes to sleep. Then takes about 30 sec - 1 min to start back up if you try to explore My Computer, open Media Player, or anything that requires data. Horrible drive with primitive technology. Wouldn't recommend this at all. Go with SeaGate.

Overall Review: Don't buy this piece of junk.

Not what's expected

XFX GeForce 7900GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card PVT71GUQF3
XFX GeForce 7900GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card PVT71GUQF3

Pros: Looks pretty, quiet (for me), inexpensive, and made my Vista system rating jump from 3.0 to 4.5.

Cons: Shipping from both NewEgg and UPS took longer than expected (3 day shipping became 5 days). No email of confirmation or tracking ever given. Card will not play BF2 at high settings. Gets 30-50fps in WoW. 6600GT played better.

Overall Review: I'm running AMD 64 X2 4200+, 2GB PC2-4200 DDR2, Nvidia 7900GT, 320GB SATA. I know it's not the machine...will probably switch to using another merchant and ATI.

Awesome buy!

Hanns-G 19" Active Matrix, TFT LCD WXGA+ LCD Monitor 5 ms D-Sub, DVI-D JW-199DPO

Pros: Very bright, very clear. Fast response time. Can't beat the price. On-time delivery. No dead pixels.

Cons: Original driver.

Overall Review: Setting it up was a breeze. I didn't bother hooking up the speakers. When I initially installed it, Windows defaulted the driver as "Plug And Play Monitor". I set the resolution to 1400x900 and everything looked great. I found the actual monitor driver on the manufacturer's website and after reboot, the resolution went down to 1280x960 max. The words were blurry and the picture was stretched out. So I went back to the Plug & Play driver and everything looks great again. Just make sure you don't use the actual driver.

Works as intended

ADATA 1GB DDR 333 (PC 2700) Desktop Memory Model VDNDB1A16
ADATA 1GB DDR 333 (PC 2700) Desktop Memory Model VDNDB1A16

Pros: Installation is easy. So far, I've had it for almost 1 year with no errors or trouble.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I wanted to upgrade one of my machines from 512MB to 1GB. I ordered the PC2700 without first checking that my PC is capable of running PC3200. Anyways, I popped in the memory and the system booted up smoothly. It's now running with one of my older modules so I have 1.25GB memory. I play WoW and it made a world of difference. I can now alt+TAB between the game and applications with ease. The shipping was on-time and NewEgg is great. At the time I bought this, it was significantly cheaper than it is now...go figure.
