Pros: I was looking for a small and cheap computer to use as a Linux laptop and found this. No difficulties at all with the install, both Kali and Ubuntu recognize all the hardware with no tricks needed. (NB: have not tested webcam. Sound, video, wireless, trackpad, lid switch, etc all good though.) Only needed to tweak boot settings in BIOS (F2 during startup). My previous laptop (different brand) was very difficult to get to actually boot off eMMC. No issues here.
Cons: Track pad does not seem to register as a 3-button mouse, which is a disappointment.
Overall Review: ASUS does not sell this line directly, but claims it is available with 8GB RAM and 128 eMMC. I have not found that higher end variant available. I opened this up and looked to see if it was easily user upgradable. Short answer: no, components are soldered on. Small victory: pretty easy to open. Ten J1 screws, then pry the keyboard panel off.
Cass has a kinda rubbery feel, and it's a bit thicker than I expected. Keys are fairly tall, which I'm adjusting to.
