Hi, I have just bought one of these and have received it without any sort of instructions. I just wanted to ask if this USB can be password protected?

sorry I'm no expert but you can generally install software on any thumbdrive to encrypt it, this one should work the same; google 'encrypt thumb drive' for options
 
look at imation defender if you want high protection

I don't use my hyperx because I have not gotten around to reformatting it from FAT32 which limits you to small files (>4gb); why they would create such a huge capacity thumb drive and not format it as NTFS is beyond me
