Question 1

Would I be able to mount these fans (https://www.newegg.com/p/1YF-00SS-00006) to the front and top of the case?

They appear to have the standard 120 mm distance between the mounting holes, so yes i belive they would fit.  
BUT, being round like that ,there will be weird looking gaps in between them.  
Since they are completely covered by the magnetic filter on the top, it may not even be noticeable.

Question 2

Will this fit a SSI EEB motherboard? 12"x13". Obviously that is not officially supported according to the specifications, but the pictures seem to indicate that there would be enough room. I might just need to add a few standoffs myself. Anyone able to measure and estimate the feasibility of such a mod?

I just measured in my case and the largest motherboard you could squeeze in there would be 13 1/2 by 15, Rounding down a little on each. Doing so though would cover the holes for cable management on the right side of the case. I can’t speak to the feasibility of adding stand offs as ive never done such a thing. But I could imagine that one issue you may run into is if you need to add stand off holes where the metal is punched out.

where can i find a gpu  vertical mount for  this case ?

There’s a cover for horizontal mounts that acts a vertical mount when removed all you have to do after is buy the vertical bridge to your gpu to the pcie slot on the motherboard
