What motherboards actually fit with this case's CPU cooler? I have tried two motherboards that while they fit in the case, but the two silver mounting rails that go in on the sides of the CPU do not fit because of capacitors/resistors around the CPU  socket. Since the silver rails won't fit, I can't screw the CPU cooler in.

what motherboards did you try I have one of these with EVGA Z170 Classified K 142-SS-E178-KR LGA 1151 and mine has capacitors on one side but the long screws that came with the case rose the silver mounting rails above them. it rests kinda high but if your not using the long screws and the right backplate it wont work. I think i had the same issue initially but then realized the plate at the back was backwards. make sure everything is right and it should fit any MOBO even with the capacitors on the side.

can this case house a eatx motherboard?

All the relevant spec's are listed at the mfgrs website.  It clearly states this case accepts E-ATX boards with maximum size of 305mm x 275mm.  Also be aware that the gfx cards remote mount PCI-E ribbon cable may not support maximum data transfer rates of the faster cards. Restricting data transfer speeds can cause system instability.

Is there any way to change out the fluid to differnt color?

It being a factory sealed system I would not try. I think it would be begging for a leak.  ??
I do wish one could pick color at time of order.  When I purchased my two, I wanted green with a white case. Oh well. A damn nice case.

Question 5

anyone else having issue with temperatures when under load? goes from 25-35C idle to 70-85 after seconds of prime95 - reseated, checked mount, no overclocking, i7-6700k - bad pump maybe?

IDK maybe, I'm sitting at about 40c at idle after the stress load tho I have a I5 -6500. Depends on how much stress your putting it under but I also have 2 additional fans installed to the case to the front as well. If anything ask the manufacture they would probably give better info.

Can I get the red liquid with the white case?

No, the color options listed here are the main ones available. While the integrated cooler is based on the DEEPCOOL CAPTAIN 360 CPU cooler, the standalone model available for purchase through retail doesn't include the front helix reservoir. The only other color option is the ROG Edition, which is black with red piping and integrated RGB LEDs.

The only way I can think of to do what you're suggesting would be to buy 2 whole cases and transfer the liquid coolers between them. The helix reservoir is exclusive to this case design.

I bought the white case with blue piping and think it looks great :) Happy shopping!

Can the AMD Fury X's 120mm radiator fit through the bigger gap to be installed on the front fan mount?

From the looks of the gpu you should be able to fit it through the opening to fit it where the front fans can be placed.

Will this case support GPU liquid cooling as well?

the included 360MM AIO is designed to work with a CPU( AIOs designed for a CPU will not work on a GPU and the same the other way around) however the front HDD cages are now removable letting you add in you're own extra radiator( i dont have the available size in that location known sorry but i would assum at minimum it would allow a 120mm ) for GPU use.. meaning you could buy for example an EVGA 1080 Hybrid card that uses an attached 120mm AIO and have enough room. or go all out and just build a coustome loop only for the GPU and fuill up as much spare space as you would like. hope this helps

It fit my ASUS GTX 1060 beautifully. This case is so large I don't see why you wouldn't be able to fit just about any card on the market inside.
