Question 1

How well does this compare the to Intel Stock Cooler?  How much quieter/louder is it and how much of a difference in temperatures did you see?  Any idea how it compares to the Thermalright AXP-100 Muscle?

How "loud" this fan is depends entirely on the case you're gonna use for it.  You have to think - the vast majority of noise will come from vibrations and all that.  Either way - even with the case opened, this thing was quiet as a mouse for me.

Temperatures wise - well, it depends (as usual) on how much you actually intend to use it.  Overall, you by this sort of fan because you intend to do more CPU-intensive work than a typical user would.  Does it keep it cool?  eh, yep =)

No idea how it compares to the Thermalright AXP - but I personally don't have a need/desire to try any other type of cooling fan out.  This one does the job just fine for me.

Question 2

I was thinking about using this fan for MSI Z97-Gaming 7 board with Mushkin Enhanced Redline 8GB ram. Does anyone know if this fan will cover any of the ram slots ? I had that happen in my last build with an aftermarket cooler. So I wanted to be sure that does not happen this time.

No idea if it will, but IMO if ur board has the ram slots so close the processor that you would even worry about that, i would question why you'd be looking at anything other than standard heat sinks to begin with.

I want to use this with an ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+ Board and G.SKILL Ares Series RAM, will this work?

I use it on this motherboard with some team Zeus ram, that appears to be the same height. However when the heat sink is placed correctly the height is not really relevant as the off set in the heat sink allows the ram to clear the heat sink on the side. The side with the short overhang goes towards the ram and the ram is actually out just slightly further than the heat sink overhang. In the picture with this box the heat sink right side goes towards the ram. See how it is just barely longer that the CPU base.

I personally got it for the sky lake but it did have the mounting hardware for the am4 as well it was easy to install so the simple answer I guess would be yes.

this fan can fit on ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII IMPACT LGA 1151 Intel Z170 Intel USB 3.1 USB 3.0 U.2 Mini ITX Intel Gaming Motherboard?

yes it should fit but you need to make sure there is clearance for your ram sticks as the cooler leans out over and is built for low profile ram. High profile ram such as some corsair vengance and dominator platinum WILL NOT FIT

Will this work with an FM2+ socket?

This works quite well on my A10, cools ~5°C better than stock. Depending on your motherboard you'll need low profile ram.

Question 7

Is there any possibility of using a 25mm thick fan on this? Even bending the mounting metal is okay with me. I want to know I can replace the fan if it breaks or have the ability to put an expensive Noctua fan on there or similar. It's the only thing holding me back from buying this.

If the mounting clips will extend to accommodate that slightly thicker fan, then it should be no problem.  You can check online forums to see if other customers have done similar configurations.

This is generally just a replacement stock cooler.
Decent enough for any CPU its compatible with. 
Fair for lightly overclocked CPUs. Its not for a specific wattage.
