Can you control the Brightness of the LED's?

No. This kit only comes with the LED light strip, an extension wire (to allow the strip to be relocated anywhere in your case) and an inline 4 pin power connector.

Does this have some special connection  or can you simply connected with a 4 pin white plug
I heard some pc's require a special connection to the motherboard I have an Asus 990fx R3.0 will this light fit without having to connected to the mobo?.

It is connected  to your Power supply, you tap it with 4 pin male. You can hook up a bunch (I think up to 4. I think it was.) in series. I have run my 2 in my care for 1 year. I think it make my case look cool.

Question 3

How is connector polarity determined?  I ask because half the units are assembled backwards from the other half.  What do I mean by "backwards"?  I mean half the units end with D1 near the female connector, and half the units end with D18 near the female connector!  Duh!  This also means (I assume) that pin 1 must be on the opposite side of the strip when looked at from exactly the same perspective as other strips!  Totally confusing!  How does one determine with absolute certainty where pin 1 is on both ends of every strip?  Also, what happens if strips are plugged into the motherboard, and some are backwards (pin 1 through pin 4 on the strip connect to pins 4 through pin 1 on the motherboard)?  I really can't believe that designers and manufacturers of polarized electronics products don't know how to label, design and manufacture reliably!

Yes you can BUT the second will not work. you have to start with the first and then try the second. I almost had a heart attack first when non worked but try and you will get it right and they are working real good had my now for almost 1 year and they work as good as the first time I started the case.
