Yes, mine came with wifi. It also came with a webcam that was not mentioned,  but mine didn't come with the backlit keyboard. The motherboard won't support one either, so I got a usb light.

Is a power cord included with the computer?

Yes.  I purchased two of these laptops.  Each included a 90w Dell-branded laptop power supply.  Each power supply had a small LED light on it, so that you know when it has power.  The AC power cord was approximately 3 feet (1 meter or so), and the DC power cord was approximately 6 feet (a little less than 2 meters).

Question 3

Has anyone upgraded the RAM and/or SSD?  I understand it comes with 2 x 2GB.  What is the limit for this computer?  (Will it handle 16GB?).  Any issues upgrading the SSD?  Is it SATA2 or SATA3?  I've got an extra 512GB SSD I was going to put in an older machine with a Core 2 Duo and SATA1 (almost a waste for the SSD, imo), but am thinking about getting a newer model, and $200 is so cheap for a model with an i5, seems like a no-brainer.

I immediately upgraded the RAM on mine to 16GB, which is the maximum possible.  The kit I used is "Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (2 x 8G) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model BLS2K8G3N169ES4", purchased from Newegg (of course), having Newegg part number N82E16820148730.  12 passes (46 hours) with Memtest86+ v5.01 with no errors.  The new RAM was 20% faster than the old Dell RAM too.  The thing flies now.

I have not upgraded the SSD, but would expect no problems doing so (other than having to re-activate Windows 7 Pro) as long as the partition was copied correctly.

Before you upgrade anything, update the system BIOS to A21, which is the final release BIOS.  Mine had a very old BIOS version (A06 I think) and the new RAM was not properly recognized.

Is Microsoft Word, excell and powerpoint already on it of do I need to purchase that?  How do I know what wireless Mouse and Docking station to purchase?

No MS Office software is included. Any wireless mouse should work and you do not have a choice about docking stations that I am aware of, there is only one for this laptop. Exclusive to the Dell E6420. If you decide to upgrade to Windows 10 you will have a bit of work to do. Some of the hardware on this laptop does not have driver support for Windows 10 that I can find. Good laptop as is if you want to stay with Windows 7.

Is it easy to add a keyboard and mouse?

If the keyboard and mouse are USB or wireless, as the laptop has 3 USB 2.0 ports.  It has no PS2 port for an old-fashioned keyboard (unless that old-fashioned keyboard works with a PS2 to USB adaptor; most do, but not all).

Ireally don't know what a USB3port is it has 2 o r three regular usb ports  not the micro but i guess the full size ones

Is there an audio input? I can only see the headphone port.

Yes the "MIC" port is on the left side of the computer on the opposite side of the VGA port from the headphone port..  Love the computer, mine came with 128gb and is very fast, also came with extended battery

What is the screen resolution?

Checking Dell's website, it is listed as "Full HD." In TODAY's world, that would mean 1920x1080 resolution. However, this is an older model.

Since Dell's site does not list actual numbers, we're left with what review sites like NotebookCheck and CNet say, which is is that the screen is 1366x768 resolution. However, NotebookCheck claims there were some models which came equipped with 1600x900 screens. (Neither of those resolutions is FULL HD by today's standard, though.)

Question 9

Does this product have Wi-FI as it doesn't say in the specs.   I know that it's really common now, but I want to make sure?   In addition, does it have a built in camera so I can use it with Skype.

Is this (Dell Latitude E6420) eligible for free upgrade to Windows 10?

I was under the belief that all licensed legal Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit software was eligible for free upgrade to Windows 10.  Unless this is the Enterprise version of Windows 7 it should be ok.

I have heard that there have been some problems with driver updates and certain software causing problem with the Windows 10 update for even 2 or 3 year old hardware running Win 7 Pro.   So be sure to research specific situations.
