Is this really only a dual-core cpu?

Technically yes... its a dual core cpu but the thing is, it has a very good clock speed, and although it has 2 cores when put under load it will use hyperthreading which simulates 4 cores. For most tasks it is just as good as an i7 and esp for gaming it will serve you just as well

yes, this product does have a graphics amplifier port on the back side of the laptop. However, as you may know, the graphics amplifier is not included with the product.

Yes, I have been playing ESO and LOL on the highest settings without a problem.  Also, Nvidia just released a new driver specifically for GTA 5.
